Or maybe it was really just the smell of wet dogs as they found spring too. We had to get the hose out and give the first baths of the year because Sheba and CarrieAnne found something 'earthy and green' to roll in.
Sheba wasn't very happy about our washing the smell of spring off of her...
CarrieAnne seemed to have no regrets and looked like she enjoyed every minute of it! I hope you enjoy minute of your Monday!

The look on those girls faces is priceless :)
Yes, there's a different smell in the air with Spring on our doorstep, right now, it's the Spring onions !

Ew! That sweet smell of spring really gets to the dogs, doesn't it?
If Sheba could talk, I wonder what her words would be at that point... she looks very annoyed with someone. haha. I love CarrieAnnes smile!! Have a good week Kim!
Spring is definitely here. My plants are blooming and flowers are out. Beautiful time. Roscoe seems to be rolling in the grass as well. When we bathe him he is happy like Carrie Anne smiling.
Happy monday to you.
Ana

My Aussie needs a bath but she is so squirmy that it's hard to do. And so we spend money at the groomer:-(
Happy spring. CarrieAnne has beautiful feminine eyes and a winning smile.

I think the I will go through the week with a Carrie-Anne attitude, you know, happy to have a cold bath after rolling in poop. Story of my life....BOL
Oh what's that Easton? You want to man the hose? Good thing you don't have opposing thumbs.
Oh I hate it when the dogs do that!! LOL, cute pics!
such cute girls. :)
We're enjoying spring too...I have 3 more here waiting for baths, come on over!
That is the happiest dog face I have ever seen getting a bath.
Blessings,
Goose
It's the SOUNDS of spring that really get my motor running! I actually opened the windows today and let all the wonderful birdsongs into my house.
CarrieAnn's smile is absolutely priceless!
CarrieAnne's smile is contagious, she has given it to me!
I love the smell of spring (although not always from a dog!) and the smell of a nice rain coming too.
Cheers,
Jo, Stella and Zkhat
Oh boy, we know the feeling. Humans always have to put a damper on things! Love the last pic!!
I agree. Great smile on CarrieAnne's face. She loved every minute of it!
Kim,
I think you are right; Sheba would rather smell 'springy' and it does have its own distinct smell...clean and green! (if that's possible) plus the smell of fresh cut grass!
CarrieAnne really does look like she is enjoying her wash down!
Oh yes, we've already had some 'rolling in yucky things' baths this year. Yours are a lovely shade of green.
your description of spring is
simply beautiful.
i think there's a special smell to some bird's poop in the spring. that's what always seems to draw them!
moose said it all...
but then carrie ann seems to just live with that sweet smile.
hope little lucas is feeling better.
any luck on day care?
maybe you should quit dentistry and go into doggy daycare!
NObody would be any better!!!
love,
tammy j
Sheba is definitely giving you 'the look'.

I'm glad you have the smell of spring. I had the smell of wet dogs in the house yesterday as we are going into autumn here in New Zealand. I don't have words to describe thier doggie odour, but I'd trade you your spring smells for D.O. anytime!
Hi dear friend, Love seeing your pups and that you are having nice weather.
Sending lots of love to you and your pack today.

As soon as I get my cast off Molly will be getting a bath also......
Gill in Canada
CarrieAnne certainly looks like "the cat that got the canary!!" Does she know she's about to get a hose bath??!!

Hi Kim
Oh you are enjoying a touch of spring! How wonderful to smell the sweetness. I can imagine it sooo close!
We are having heavy rains and cold winds. It is still winter for sure!

When we see Ellie's head start down we know we need to call her right away. If the shoulder goes down, it's already too late. Why in the world do they always manage to get it all over their collars?
Oh yes indeedy doo! Sophie knows how to find all those sweet smells of spring alright! Time to re-attach the garden hose!! lol
We are enjoying the smell and sounds of Spring also. We have a temp of 75 now.
Sweet William The Scot
Ah yes, the smell of Spring..especially when one does not yet HAVE A LAWN!...:)JP
Abby has been roaching in what passes for grass in our yard, too. And for some reason, she dug a hole and started eating the dirt.
Glad Lucas is in the home stretch as far as his teeth go. Is there any treatment for the laryngeal paralysis? Sure hope it doesn't get any worse.
Where are the rest of Todd's play buddies going for daycare? What a shame about the current daycare closing. Maybe the owners will be able to find a better property.
Jed & Abby
We like baths. What a beautiful smile, CarrieAnne!
Oh my gosh, that adorable smile on Carrianne! When we lived out in the country, our girls seemed to find "stuff" to roll in and always right after their bath!
Awes so cute. Can I bring mine up for a bath??? :)
Sheba looks just as insulted as Carrie-Ann does delighted! It's been very Springlike in Montreal as well and I can't wait for the weekend so I can stop working like a demon and enjoy it!
Those are priceless photos of the looks on the girl's faces as you washed their precious "scent" off of them.
I know exactly that smell of spring that you described. We are nowhere near smelling it yet!
Its pouring down rain, and we are thinking of you.
Sometimes its just good to reach across the miles- and wish we could come by for a visit.
