Fragile Circle
"We who choose to surround ourselves with lives even more temporary than our own,
live within a fragile circle, easily and often breached.
"We who choose to surround ourselves with lives even more temporary than our own,
live within a fragile circle, easily and often breached.
Unable to accept its awful gaps,
we still would live no other way.
We cherish memory as the only certain immortality,
never fully understanding the necessary plan."

My heartfelt sympathy to Angus, the Font, and Wilf on the loss of their precious Digby. Here their hearts are broken but in heaven tonight there is indeed mischief and laughter. ~God Speed Digby~

Hi Kim,
ReplyDeleteIt is always sad when a pet we have or just know of, crosses over the bridge. We try to harden our hearts and say, I can't go through this any more, it will kill me too, from a broken heart. Then you see a new pair of small shining eyes, looking into yours and you know you have to try again, for the joy of today. I remember all my pets, gone in times past, no other can take their place, but somehow, my heart makes room for "Just one more".
What a beautiful tribute to Digby - our hearts go out to Digby's family and Wilf. We are also concerned about Maguire and are thinking about him and your family. Your Digby tribute poem speaks volumes.

Even though the news is sad, I am thankful you shared Digby's loss to your blogger friends because his owners need our support at this very overwhelming time. How sweet of you to spread the word about Digby! I am now brand new to his blog and I don't know the cause of his death but I am glad I could offer my support.
ReplyDeleteQuite the sad day here in The Blogosphere -
ReplyDeleteAt least we have each other to know THAT feeling -
We have a candle lit -
Khyra sat out under tree for a while watching -
I have some AGJ poured to toast to Digby and Jackson's memories and families -
As we catch up on our favourite blogs this morning we're quite overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and kindness. Thank you som much for thinking of him. As we walked through the village last night we were aware of so many kind hearts sharing their experience with us.
ReplyDeleteDigby lives on in the hearts of all of us all around the word!
