Today was a windy but beautiful day. While I know that others have been impacted much more than we were, we are thankful that we never lost power, trees, or the internet!
We ended our day enjoying the nice evening watching a blur of dogs playing.

ReplyDeleteAs I looked at your photos of the dogs playing, I smiled and smiled. What a happy crew, all looking chipper and healthy. I know that your heart is grieving but your furry friends must be helping you a lot right now.
Glad to hear you made it through! We too were blessed with no loss of trees, electricty or internet. Other areas were not as lucky. :-(
ReplyDeleteThe weather person last night said you will have the most beautiful day after a hurricane so it will be great for all those cleaning up.
Oh Kim, I just got caught up with you all and saw the sad news about sweet Rudi. I am so sorry...
ReplyDeleteThank you for all you do to help make their Golden Years, their best!
Hugs and belly rubs to all,

ReplyDeleteI may have to get me one of those scotties
So wonderful to see so much dog happiness and merriment going on
Glad Irene just kissed you
Glad that you escaped the worst of Irene and that she will, very soon, be only a memory. The dogs look like they are celebrating her departure.
ReplyDeleteSafe here, although we got a good pounding and I had a good fright getting stuck in traffic on one of Montreal's bridges in a bus full of people. We got pushed around by 100+ km/h per hour winds and were pelted with horizontal rain. Not a fun experience and not looking forward to getting on a bridge again any time soon!
ReplyDeleteI love your pictures of the dogs playing, it looks as if they are dancing for joy!
So very thankful that you were spared any damage. Love seeing the pups play-they are so darn cute!!! Have a wonderful Monday my friend.
ReplyDeleteHugs, Noreen & Reggie
It's a good thing that you guys are not affected by Irene.
ReplyDeleteHope all is well with everyone. We are sorry we haven't been keeping up with your blog. We have been busy trying to find a place to stay in Singapore and it wasn't as easy as we thought. Hopefully we'll find one within the next couple of weeks! Fingers and paws crossed!
Love,
Homer

PS Todd is sooooo cute I love those ears :) and that puppy twinkle in his eyes.
Our weather was not too bad, but other parts of New York State are a mess...mostly flooding.
ReplyDeleteSo glad to hear that you weathered the storm okay and there were no big problems from it in your area. I spoke on the phone over the weekend with my sister's in NJ and all seemed okay there too, other then the pounding rains and strong winds. But no major damage in their area. It seems to be a summer of crazy weather, would you believe we had a twister touch down in town, and it took a path right thru our property. Just a baby twister, to be sure, but huge tree branches snapped right in two and were thrown across the yard, just missing the parked cars, and anything that was not nailed down was pulled or pushed around. Luckily my daughter was able to run out and gather up all her chickens that were having the run of the yard at the time, and bring them to safely. They are so light and fluffy, I am sure the wind would have had tossed them around for sure. Crazy, crazy summer of 2011. ~Debby
ReplyDeleteSo glad all is well at Golden Pines, and things are back to normal.
ReplyDeleteI love looking at the pictures of the dogs playing, they are such a happy bunch.
