Todd's day started out with an encounter with a rabbit whose ear became a fun play-toy for him. Getting it away from him proved to be a little challenge. I chased him through the house, and outside. Corrections and trying to bribe him with a treat fell on deaf ears. There's no way to catch him; Todd is just way too fast and way too quick!
Then I remembered 'blue squeaky ball.' I grabbed it out of the drawer and Todd immediately dropped the ear, and came running to me, anxious for his treasured toy.
I picked up the rabbit's ear and put it with the other one that has also come off...
Oh, did I forget to mention that Todd didn't have a 'real' rabbit ear but one from a garden statue?
Sounds like a typical puppy with selective hearing. :-)
ReplyDeleteI'm cracking up! I was thinking "poor Kim" having to deal with a rabbit ear mess, and then it was a statue! Those puppies love to keep us on their toes, don't they?
ReplyDeleteYou caught us off guard too Kim! For sure I thought you were talking about a real rabbit! Thank goodness the blue ball was found (mysteriously) hummm wonder where it was!
ReplyDeleteThe rainbow was gorgeous! But driving through all that high water can be so scary!
I hope its time for you all to relax for the night!
Of course Todd- that silly little dog- probably does not know how to relax!

I'm afraid you've got more rain coming. I live on the side of a hill and I've actually got standing puddles in my back yard. I don't think that there have ever been puddles there! Of course, if it had been snow (which I almost wish) we'd have about three feet!
Oh we were totally tricked here........we thought a real poor bunny was missing a real live ear!! Ewwwww!
ReplyDeleteTail Wuggles, Rubie
Oh that face! and thank goodness the blue ball miraculously happeared..also thank goodness it was a statue!
ReplyDeleteand did I mention, "that face"?? What a handsome guy!
We need one of those blue squeaky balls here for when Enzo runs away with some forbidden treasure in his mouth!
ReplyDeleteGood thing you found the mysteriously disappeared ball to bribe him with!
ReplyDeleteWe are having loads of rain, too, so we sympathize! At least we aren't having flooding like so many places around the state.

That Todd sure is a cutie pie.
Too funny! I thought for sure it was alive because terriers are known for such antics. I thought "best of luck" with getting him to stop. He is such a cutie. Love that he came for his favorite toy. I hope you were able to relax today. Hugs today.
ReplyDeleteNoreen

You got me!!!!! I was wondering why Kim wasn't upset that Todd ripped a rabbit's ear off :)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous rainbow!
That looks like Todd's "Who, me?" face. Actually, yucky as it would be, at least he couldn't choke on a real rabbit ear.

A delightful post.
Every time I read another Todd story, it brings back that first year when Gracie was a pup. I thought at that time I'd never survive.. lol. (She's lucky she survived!) You gotta love 'em!! Todd couldn't get any cuter!!!
