The Pace of the Day

Today marked the start of the pursuit of fresh and delicious produce from our local farmer's markets.  This morning I loved seeing the fresh vine ripened strawberries and rhubarb all together with baked goods and plants from local gardeners.
It was a much welcome break from the pace of the last few days as the food-drive is consuming a lot of my time and energy as it ramps up and heads into its last week.
Once home I continued taking a break from everything by letting the dogs out to wander and explore.  The new owners of the property in back of us have been keeping the property mowed, so we took advantage of the freshly cut grass for a walk.
My goal for the rest of the day is to continue to keep the pace slow. And with that, I just may go and take a nap. (Below is Sam, who is doing well after his bout of a terrible upset stomach)
I hope you're enjoying your day!

We are a ways away from the Farmer's market but its one of my most favorite things! I love to make relish, so I look for relish ingredients!

Have a most pleasant day, and enjoy your nap, if you can get away with one.

Cheers,
Jo, Stella, Zkhat and Ron

Since last weekend was so hectic and busy, we've been trying to stay low key here this weekend, and it's been really nice! Those strawberries are looking really tempting!

From the strawberries, to the green, green grass, to Jake and Toby chillin' and knowing you were going to take a nap makes this a most excellent post!

Glad to hear Sam is all right.

Our market has been getting the best strawberries I have ever had. I'm embarrased to say I ate almost a pint of them on the way home! My husband laughed at every one I ate and said it was a good thing he was driving.

I love when the Farmer's Markets start. Sadly that won't be for awhile yet here. :(

Hope you and the pups are enjoying your weekend Kim!

Ahh yes, we've been rolling in the grass too. Mom wishes we wouldn't because we like to roll on smelly things, but give us a break. We're dogs.

We are so happy that Sammy is doing good! He looks like he is enjoying life!
Toby looks like he is enjoying life too.
We have not seen any Farmers Markets yet out west,, maybe because nothing seem to have grown yet.
But we can just smell the freshness of all that you were looking at! Those strawberrys looked so yummy.
I bet the furrys loved running on the newly mowed grass!
