One Thing Not Enjoyed

I am hoping that the warm weather we've had this past weekend is signaling that winter is behind us.  I find Spring to be an amazing season.  Not only can I see the world around me waking up from winter’s hibernation, I can feel my own energy level is increasing too.
Those feelings must be contagious. Throughout yesterday I noticed this little woodpecker as it built its new house in a nearby tree.
While I was working outside, the dogs enjoyed the warm sunny weather. Afterwards Lucas enjoyed a snooze on the front porch while stalking the cat at the same time.
But for Todd the day ended with a bath.  He enjoyed digging and running through the mud left by the melted snow a bit too much.
And trust me, the only thing he enjoyed about the bath was when it was over!  I hope you've had a good weekend too!

  4. Hi, Hunter got a bath on Friday and he didn't like it either but his smell was just too bad to wait until Tuesday when he gets groomed. I do love having a dog you can put in the sink. It is cold and windy here, the snow melted from yesterday; Hunter wants to be out but it is really blowing so he is laying in the sun by the slider. I too love spring, I don't mind getting up earlier and love being outside. Have a wonderful day my friend!

  7. The only thing I don't like about spring is how muddy the yard gets and the mess it makes on the dogs. We had a great day yesterday with sunshine all day (a rarity around here). I love seeing all the birds come back to our yard. We already have a pair of bluebirds that have staked claim to our BB nest box.

  9. Lucas and sweet kitty! That pic makes me laugh out loud. Love it. :) Yep. Todd was a dirty boy, but he looks all spiffed up after grooming. :D He's definitely smiling. Nothing like a little fun mischief he says...

  10. Oh Lucas I too stalk cats. But I must say you get much closer than I ever get (well except for getting close to Bert's Allred. But that's to close for me to be to the Devil cat). I am looking forward to Spring. This weekend has been a little taste of what is to come.
    Blessings,

  34. Yes, SPRING is flirting with us as well. Can only hope winter is all gone bye bye! Sophie has visited a few mud puddles already in the park. Oh the car! We use fleece fitted bed sheets on her seat....ding ding ding...figured this out one day when visiting the Sally Ann...and it worked. So easy to slip on and take off.

  39. Oh my goodness - what a muddy mess that cute Todd is. My boys received baths this weekend too but thankfully they looked nothing like your little man. Looks like he had a great time though. I am completely enjoying the higher temps and daylight savings. I feel like doing so much more when I come home in the evenings when it's light out.
