He's a Scottie After All

The coldest day since last winter with temperatures that didn't get above freezing all day.  The hummingbird feeder left out for any stragglers, was frozen almost solid.

The Goldens on days like this, had moments of being invigorated by the cold, but preferred  the warmth of the inside.

Todd on the other hand, wanted to stay outside.  As he sat, unflinching, facing the cold north winds of November, I noticed that he had a stoic and aristocratic air about him.  But he's supposed to be that way, he's a Scottie after all.

  2. BRR! That Todd is a handsome fellow~!! Sorry for belated comment, but have kept up on my phone, so comments there are few and far between for me! Glad to hear how your pack is doing-so many trials of late it seems but thankful things have gone in an upward direction healthwise for them. You truly are my hero-not letting the sadness of trials and loss keep you from being brave and loving...hugs to you and many...many...thanks for all you do! What a dear braveheart you are!

  14. Typical Scottie attitude.

He is always mentioning the time, when I was a little tiny pup, it was the middle of winter, he took me out in the middle of the night for a wee break... I stepped out onto the icy cement, lay down, and went to... sleep...

I don't think he'l ever get over it.

  20. As much as my pack loves the cold, the winds this weekend were too much and they hurried out and right back inside again.

  23. I was noticing Sampson running in the field yesterday, just enjoying the fresh, crisp air. He lies more and more in warm spots lately, but every now and again i still catch him sitting outside enjoying.

    Love the photos.

  30. Yes, looks like the Hummingbird feeder is frozen, hopefully all those stragglers have already flew South, and have missed the cold.
Such a cute shot of those two sharing their crate, and Todd is a true Scotsman, cold weather doesn't stop them from wearing their kilts, or in Todd-boy's case his tartan scarf.
Happy Thanksgiving Kim to you and yours at Golden Pines.
    Hugs,
    ~Jo
