Four Years and TWO Plus Ones

~Todd, June 25, 2011~
I've been going through all the files of photos that have been transferred onto my new computer, and deleting the ones I don't want to keep. Its been a fun trip down memory lane that has reminded me that it was four years ago, plus one day, that Todd arrived at Golden Pines. It goes without saying that he was the perfect addition to our home and we cannot imagine our lives without him!
~Todd getting acquainted with Sam~
In keeping with the plus one theme, today we welcomed a new addition named Bella.  She's about 8 years old, and comes to us with multiple health issues. She has spent the past several days hospitalized and so it's easy to see that she's tired and not feeling all that well.
~Bella during the ride to Golden Pines~
With people, Bella is a perfect lady and is eager for attention.  But with the dogs, even though the dogs ignore her, she's reactive when they are around.  So, for today we decided to forgo the one on one meetings to give her time to rest and settle in.  It has been a long, tiring day for all of us and I'm trying to be hopeful that tomorrow will be a better day for Bella.

  9. Welcome to Bella. Looking forward to hearing her story. She is relatively young, especially with all of the seniors. Hopefully, her being reactive is just being tired and not feeling up to par. I,m sure she will settle in with all of the tlc she is receiving. Georgie is a perfect example of softening his demeanor. The look in his eyes has changed completely.
What a huge job going through all of your pictures. I know it brought back lots of memories.
I agree with the others that it doesn't seem possible that it has already been 4 years since Todd came to be such an important part of your famly. He is just precious.
Love the title of your post. Very clever.

  13. Oh what a beautiful girl Bella is. We hope that she will settle in because she's going to have such a wonderful life with you all.
She is so much like our lovely boy Duke, who died overnight, exactly a month ago today. He was part retriever, part spaniel (born with no tail) and definitely part mountain goat ! Photos of her in future will always remind us of him.

  29. Great photos. How time flies.

This is also a great photo - taken in VA. Presumably a part of the state that has a relaxed attitude to recreational pharmaceuticals.

  32. I have been surfing online more than 3 hours
today, yet I never found any interesting article like yours.

It's pretty worth enough for me. In my view, if all webmasters and bloggers made good content as you did, the
web will be much more useful than ever before.
