"Night gathers, and now my watch begins.... I shall wear no crowns and win no glory.... I am the sword in the darkness. I am the watcher on the walls. I am the fire that burns against cold, the light that brings the dawn, the horn that wakes the sleepers, the shield that guards the realms of men. I pledge my life and honor to the Night's Watch, for this night and all the nights to come." .....I am a Scottish Terrier....
A quote I liked by, George R.R. Martin
I would like that too if we had a doggie like yours. Let him keep on watching for years to come.
ReplyDeleteAwwwwww.... your precious little sentinel, Kim. The poem does him justice! ~Andrea xoxo
ReplyDeleteIt looks like he is doing a great job.
ReplyDeleteHello,
ReplyDeleteTodd is a great watchdog, day or night. Love the poem! Take care, enjoy your weekend.
This explains the little Scottie's heart like none other.
ReplyDeleteand I don't know why... it brought tears to my eyes reading it.
it is beautiful. as is Todd. as are You. xo
Lovely words and describe Todd to a 'T'!
ReplyDeleteLove it!💖
ReplyDeleteI know now ,how Todd knows he is special.
ReplyDeleteA Scottie's work is never finished. Kyla was like that but she went RIP in 2014. She once had a regulation soccer ball in two pieces. It took her about 45 minutes.
ReplyDeleteI always knew that Todd would be a great helper, he would guard you home, he would make you smile, the would help you through the loss of an older dog, and so much more.
ReplyDeleteTodd would certainly be the leading pup in "Game of Bones".
ReplyDeleteHow reassuring to have him out there on the job! ♥
ReplyDeleteWe had a Scottie when we were fist married, grew up with our girls...a wonderful dog:)
ReplyDeleteTodd would love it here. We also have three night watchdogs:) And with the cold and snow today, they have started their shifts very early. No pup wants to come inside:)
ReplyDeleteWoos - Lightning, Misty, and Timber
Keeping a good watch Todd . . .

ReplyDeleteLove it- go Todd!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat watching Todd.
ReplyDelete"...And I, I am the faithful sidekick to the watcher. I bark when he barks. I growl when he growls. I make the 'powder puff' on the back of my neck fluff up when his fluffs. I am the watcher of the watcher." - signed, Champie the Chiweenie, of the House of The Merry Needle, follower of Sophie the Bichon Frise, Head Watcher.
