I gave Sid the leftovers and I drove the 2+ hours back home. The road to a friends home is never long...It was a nice day.
This evening we're having dinner with some friends we've known for about 10 years. They are always so kind and include us in one of their holiday celebrations.
The picture below is of Rudi doing what she has done nearly every day for the 7 years we've had her; enjoying the cats food.
Whatever you are doing, if you celebrate Thanksgiving or not,
I hope you're enjoying your day too!!
We recognise THAT bridge!
ReplyDeleteHappy Thanksgiving!
One of these times you need to stop here!
We are only five minutes off Route 30!

Oh, I love Rudy! Such a beauty and character!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you surprised your friend with a nice meal and great companionship. I'm sorry you weren't able to snap the photos of the trees on the way, but better safe than sorry! :)
Glad you had a good time yesterday! I hope your dinner tonight will be just as enjoyable, stay safe!
ReplyDeleteHappy Thanksgiving! (and to Rudi too!)

So sweet! It warms my heart to see people being kind to others. You are one of a kind. Love the picture of Rudi!! Happy Thanksgiving Kim.
ReplyDeleteI hope that, right now, you are enjoying your friends and your Thanksgiving feast. I'm sitting at the computer, waiting impatiently until the crock pot pork roast is done (don't like turkey.) Here is to plenty to be thankful for, not only today, but every day.
ReplyDeletePS How does Rudi stay so slim eating all of that high calorie cat food?
We had a good day with our family....lots to eat! I'm glad you took the time to go see your friend. Your expression of love meant so much to her, I am sure. Have a nice weekend!

Oh Rudi! Hope that stuff is yummy :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a perfect time to spend with friends! Our usual family Thanksgiving fell apart this year, so we have a nice dinner out lined up and hopefully a short trip to the snow...we'll see :)
Hugs and snaggle-tooth kisses,
Sierra Rose
Isn't it funny how 'stolen food' seems to taste better then their own. I bet if you put it in her bowl she wouldn't eat it!! Pleased to hear that you have had a lovely day Kim. Best wishes. Sue x x
ReplyDeleteHappy Thanksgiving!

You are a wonderful friend! I am glad you had a nice Thanksgiving!
ReplyDeleteThat is what Thanksgiving should be about, good job :) We adore the picture of Rudy!!
ReplyDeleteAnyone who has you as a friend Kim is very blessed!
ReplyDeleteRudi is a hoot, and be thankful the canned food is all he goes after! I have had a few dogs who seemed to think the litter box was their personal buffet...:(
Have a wonderful Friday!!
Tina xo
What a kind thoughtful friend you are.
ReplyDeleteNice to share with your friends. The cat sharing with Rudi and Rudi sharing cat food breath with every one else....BOL
ReplyDeleteHappy Thanksgiving
I grew up kinda near Lancaster PA and your photo looks very familiar!
ReplyDeleteYou're a wonderful friend. What a great thing to do on Thanksgiving.
I'll be thinking of Hamlet tomorrow.
Kim, you are such a thoughtful caretaker. What a wonderful friend you are to share like that.
ReplyDeleteHugs to you and to Rudi :)
nice to have you back too!

What a pill that Rudi is. And that is a perfect example of why we have all "low riders". Glad you had a good Thanksgiving.
ReplyDeleteOh, that Rudi! Bad girl! I love how you just concede and let her have it... ;-)
ReplyDeleteI didn't take any food to anyone for Thanksgiving but I did "pay-it-forward" at the drive up window at Wendy's! I like to do that every now and then, when I have a little cash It makes me feel especially good to do it knowing how broke I always am!
My thoughts and prayers will be with you and Hamlet tomorrow morning...
Just wanted to let you know I will be thinking of you as Hamlet faces his surgery tomorrow. Here's hoping all goes well.
ReplyDeleteI hope you had an enjoyable Thanksgiving.....

We are glad you had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

What a nice Thanksgiving, Kim. My brother and his family live in Lancaster, PA but they came to my sister's in MD to share Thanksgiving with us. Last year we were in Lancaster for Thanksgiving.
ReplyDeleteLOL @ Rudi!!
