A Three-Dog-Night!

Carl worked last night, so I arrived home last evening to a cold house and antsy dogs because our dog walker didn't come (I've no idea why).  But I did an extended walk to get rid of all their extra energy, and because I didn't wear a jacket, I got cold!  After everyone was fed and settled, I did the only thing I could do, I went to bed early taking my 'heat-pups' with me, and made it a "Three-Dog-Night!" (Can you spot Charlie?)  It didn't take long to warm me and my feet up--I love nights like that!!

I hope your week is off to a good start!  I look forward to catching up on your blogs later today!!  Enjoy your Tuesday!!

  1. Your dogs look like a wonderful blanket. What? Nobody but you under the covers? How many will think they can climb aboard tonight again? :-) Have a wonderful day now!

  2. Well now ~ that looks like a toasty place to retreat! How wonderful to have a few 'ready to use' heat sources rather then having to warm up those hot water bottles. Haha! Love it!

    Keep warm!

  6. SO cute! I used to love it when my little lab would jump up next to me after her dad got out of bed in the morning. She's too old to get up there now, but I can still feel her warmth nestled up against my leg. :)

  7. If you are having a "three dog night" this early in the year, you had better adopt a couple more dogs. There will be colder nights coming and you will need to be prepared.

    Just saying.

  8. Lucky you Kim to have those wonderful blankets all around you on a cold night! I had a few cats last night but sadly they don't cover as much ground as a Golden does...:)

  10. This could be a whole new approach to solving global warming -forget the fossil fuels to heat out homes, just get more dogs! Brilliant!

  11. What a cozy and luxurious "blanket" to sleep under!!! Will try to be better bloggie pals, but Ma has been choked for time lately. Looks like next week will be better... We know you'll have some good sleeps through the winter with furs like those to cover you with!!!

  19. I LOVE it when I wake up and I have a dog on either side of me. Call me weird, but for me, life doesn't get any better than that.

  20. We have lots of three dog nights and when we suffered thru a 12 day power outage due to an ice storm, we often had six dog nights.

  24. One of my dogs always lays right where I lay before I go to bed. It's wonderful because when I climb in bed, my spot is nice and warm.

  25. The colder it gets here the more the number goes up...only it's cats. I think it was up to six last night. Once I go to bed I try not to get up, because then they get on or under the covers in my spot and it's hard to move them! As someone said though, I wouldn't have it any other way...except maybe a bigger bed??
