Our Christmas Card Photo

Our first Golden Retriever that we named Tod came to us in 1996, and that was the first year we featured him on our Christmas card.  It became a tradition with us.  This year I was going to change that.  I really liked the picture I posted yesterday, and considered using it instead of one with all the dogs.  But being a traditionalist I felt pulled back to what I've done for so long--So, in my mind I created that 'perfect' holiday card. But the dogs had something else in mind.  And despite my best efforts to make a reality of the picture I had imagined for this year, it soon gave way to something else, and the picture below was taken.  I posted something similar to it a couple of weeks ago which was a contender as well.  But even though Rudi and Wendy have their heads down, (it's practically impossible to get all the dogs to look in the same direction at once!) it was in my opinion, the best one to use as our 'family' Christmas card.  What do you think?

  2. I think it is perfect Kim! It's so sweet that they are all being attentive like a group of children waiting for a story about Santa and Christmas. It shows a special moment at your house and how precious those moments are!

  3. It"s great! It's so inviting... I just want to be there to give hugs to each and every one of your kids, they're so adorable! And what has their interest here? Are there treats hidden somewhere between those pages? Or is it just a really interesting book? I love it, Kim. I hope you have a happy time with your family this Christmas.

  9. I love it! It looks as if someone is reading a story to a very rapt audience of loveable doggies!!

You mentioned who would get off antibiotics first, K or Hamlet. I hope that they both get off them soon!!! But, for K, they've started to mention antibiotics for the rest of her life... and she's only seven!

  18. Nothing says "Merry Christmas" like a gaggle of goldens, plus a few others. Based on the number of happy dog faces, you are going to have a wonderful Christmas.

They all look so intent, I almost wonder if there is a dog biscuit hidden somewhere in that book. Very good, I wish I could have a card like that, your friends are lucky!--Merry Christmas! -- Inger
