I only had one thing that I really had to do today. Otherwise the day was one with no “to do” or “must do” lists. The only thing that Lucas had on his 'to do and must do' list was to stalk the cat.
I've pretty much done what I wanted ...
Todd did what he wanted to as well; and that was to dig a hole.
And I've not felt guilty about my choice of not doing anything.
Todd, being a Scottie, didn't feel guilty about digging the hole...
The day is coming to an end, and looking back at it, I have no regrets. Lucas, I know, has no regrets stalking the cat...
All of us feel relaxed and refreshed!

ReplyDeleteI love that last photo, you'll have to photoshop Todd in there!! Glad you had a "No regrets day", sometimes it's what a gal needs. Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteHA! Great shot of the four of them all watching the same thing.
ReplyDeletei just think lucas' fixation on the cat is so CUTE! and that todd... :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a delightful post! I love how Lucas watches the cat:-) And Todd? Well, I'm sure he rarely (if ever) feels remorse.
ReplyDeleteThat last photo is a winner.
As others have already said that last photo is great! It also reminds me of how pale my two Golden Retrievers are compared to the often darker American Golden Retrievers.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your weekend.
Kim, what or how did you get all those dogs for that last photo? It is as PRICELESS as the day with no "to dos"...:)JP
ReplyDeleteNothing, and i mean nothing, recharges my batteries more than spending a day doing doggie stuff.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great day. Way cute last photo!
ReplyDeleteLove Love that last picture.
ReplyDeleteGlad you have no regrets. Good for you.
Blessings,
Goose

ReplyDeletethat last shot is priceless... my setters are in digging mode also....
ReplyDeleteHi Kim
ReplyDeleteI think you needed a day to yourself, to sink your roots into the earth and just be!
Sometimes its important to re- groop and focus on what is important- giving yourself some time.
The furries are so smart- they do what is important to make them happy.
I am glad you had the day with them, and no regrets at all!
These photos are priceless! Every photo tells a story, and its self explanatory! We love the photos.

That last picture is another winner, Kim! LOVE LOVE LOVE It!!
ReplyDeleteLove all the pups lined up.....looking at the cat, perhaps?
ReplyDeleteSometimes you just need to recharge your batteries.
XXXOOO Daisy,Bella &roxy
What a great photo to end this post with..pretty darn special. We all need to take a fun day or two.
ReplyDeleteI love it! Actually, I thought about giving myself a day off work today, but argued myself out of it. I went in, got to spend an hour and a half with a useless sub, had a coworker pass out in the classroom next door and took the kids from their class who were awake (it was during nap time) into my room to read quietly, at dismissal time someone pulled the fire alarm so we all had to evacuate the building, and then had to rush after school to meet my husband at the vet's office with two of the dogs! Lesson learned! The next time I get that feeling, I'm calling in sick! lol
ReplyDeleteYears ago, when I was a full time worker, whenever it felt urgent, I just called it a Mental Health Day and it ALWAYS helped!
ReplyDeleteCheers,
The Minnesnowda Girls
What a lovely day. We should all be so proactive, or should I say pro inactive!
ReplyDeleteI also had a relaxing day with Ryker trying to motivate me into activity.
Love that last photo - I bet the view from the other side of the railing was pretty good, too!
ReplyDeleteI hope your day has left you feeling relaxed and rejuvenated - you deserve it!
sometimes we need a day of nothing, nada, a blank canvas that doesn't require paint - the best thing is, the dogs will go whichever way they need to - I just love that about them - the Golden butts on the porch picture is priceless
ReplyDeleteSounds like a successful and much needed mental health day.
ReplyDeleteJed & Abby
Yes! The NO TO DO LIST day! Ahhh. Glad each of you made the day just your own.
ReplyDeleteHave a relaxing weekend...
Big hugs!
Sierra Rose

ReplyDeleteI had to laugh out loud when I saw the final photograph of the dogs looking through the railing on your veranda!...wonderful, just wonderful. Have a peaceful weekend.
ReplyDeleteYou're so right about not feeling guilty for not doing much. All those photos are perfect examples of being busy not doing much. Brilliant!
ReplyDeleteHope you feel better after your day with your 4 legged friends.
xx
A perfect Friday . For Todd, Charlie and definitely for Lucas!
ReplyDeleteDogs are so good at the "no regrets". Great photos of Lucas and Todd, up to their "naughty" actiities :)
ReplyDeleteHope that you're feeling better after your day of no obligations.
Wishing you a weekend full of "no regrets"!
ReplyDeleteXO
Everyone needs days like that! glad you all enjoyed it.
ReplyDeleteI love the picture of the Goldens with their heads stuck through the banisters on your porch - so sweet!!

Hi Y'all,
ReplyDeleteHey! Lucas, is that a DEVIL CAT? I notice he's mostly black, like the Devil.
Y'all come back now,
Hawk aka BrownDog
AH-H-H! I love those kind of days! You all look so relaxed!
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice day! and, oh my gosh, love those photos!
ReplyDeleteA day with no "to do" awesome!! I love that last picture but the picture of Charlie......PRICELESS!!
ReplyDeleteGood for you for realizing you needed a day off and good for you for not feeling guilty about it! I can't tell you the amount of days of took off from work over the years and felt guilty for it and then ended up going back to work unrefreshed! Your animals clearly could sense your relaxed state of mind --- the pictures are proof that they could feel your happiness! Great post!
ReplyDeleteI love the last photo - I have to take days off too just to put some space between me and what I do at work. I don't think anyone understands it, but I think it keeps me sane!
ReplyDeleteSam
Good for you to take a day off and the best part is with no regrets. I pretty much did the same thing, well I did clean the furniture and mopped. Roscoe is shedding and I keep sweeping after his hair. Can't wait for it to get better. I love that last picture of the 4 dogs with their head sticking out. Super cute.
ReplyDeleteHope you have a great weekend
ANA
I know how you feel about work. I just wish I could take a day off, but I have to much to do this week. I've had rather a lousy week and while last night was a step up, today has turned out pretty lousy too. Ugh... I'm glad your Friday went well though and I hope that your weekend is nice and restful!
ReplyDeleteA day shared with our canine companion/s is an experience of therapy which allows us the opportunity to focus positively and at one.
ReplyDeleteWe loved all the photo's and may your weekend be one of fun in sharing.
Life's too short for regrets...happy photos! :)
ReplyDeleteKim,
ReplyDeleteThe last shot was a hoot!! The dogs all wagging their tails and heads stuck through the railings was just too funny.
Glad you took a mental health day off work, I'm taking one on Wednesday but don't tell, we will just keep it a secret between you and me and all your blogger followers.
I'm so glad you had relaxing and fun day.
So love that last photo! What a winner! Glad you had one of those relaxed days.
ReplyDeleteI love the photo of the pups and their cute little tushies - haha!
