This morning I noticed freshly spun spider webs all around that seemed to just glisten.
The bright yellow of the forsythia seems to glow against the grayness.
I also notice on mornings like today there is the lack of an echo. Even the sound of the gravel crunching under our feet as we walk down the drive way didn't seem to go far.The only thing that seems to have 'gone far' is Todd's favorite toy, red ball. Its been a really tough toy that he has played and played and played with, and not chewed up. We have looked everywhere and it appears to be nowhere. Maybe it's lost in the fog...
Looks like you had a nice walk! Great shots!!
ReplyDeleteWe've had a lot of fog here too lately, with some days no sunshine coming through...brrrr.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful....have a nice weekend...love from me...xxx..
ReplyDeleteYour pictures look like they are post cards. Just beautiful.
ReplyDeleteGlad to know you are having a great day with the dogs. Hope Todd's ball is found.

My dogs react strangely to fog. They bark at it. I think they feel it on their faces and whiskers and don't know what it is.
ReplyDeleteLast week we had a few foggy mornings, and it stayed grey and murky all day.Lovely pictures Kim..very atmospheric. :0)
ReplyDeleteIt's probably gone to live with all the lost stockings. ;-)
ReplyDeleteWe had pea soup fog this morning, too. Made for some sloow driving.
Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
Hi Kim, You have made me view fog in a totally different way-so thank you. I so prefer the warm sunshine to wake up to. Loved seeing the sights of your place. Reggie saw the vet yesterday and while he gets stiffer each day in his back legs, they can't believe how well he is and how he has carried on.
ReplyDeleteHe did get one shot and had a rough night but hopefully tonight will be better. Have a wonderful weekend.
Hugs, Noreen & Reggie
if you ever want to give up dentistry office career...
ReplyDeleteyou must take up photography to earn a living. you are that good.
the last shot is too lovely for words. little enchanted beings live there and are hidden in plain sight. just exquisite.
as are you and your crew.
love,

Beautiful fog!!
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful photos. My MOM like to fog too.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,

Great fog pictures, ahem, you should have put on a long nightgown and gotten a little further in and had Carl take a shot. Would have great this fall!
ReplyDeleteKim, I've really missed your blog and it's totally my fault. It's such a busy time here -- but I'm glad I made it over to see your fog post.
ReplyDeleteWe've had fog for 3 days and I haven't taken a shot. My mind is a jumble with all that has to be done... oh well.
I hope you find that red ball! :)
I also love the fog. Your photos are lovely!
ReplyDeleteWe enjoyed your foggy walk. So much to look at. Spider webs are beautiful in the fog.
ReplyDeleteTry looking under furniture--that's where our missing stuff usually ends up.

Love the shot of the spider web! Looks like your trees grass and forsythia are 2-3 weeks ahead of us :-)
ReplyDeleteLooks like a great walk for all. Love the pic of the spider web! Happy Patty's Day!
ReplyDeleteLove walking in the fog..the muffled sounds and muted colours...just my cuppa!
ReplyDeleteMorning mist and fog are my favorite backdrops for taking photos. Your photographs are simply stunning!

The fog cleared here late morning and was a beautiful summer like day ! Hope Todd finds his toy ! Awesome post and photos ! Have a good day !
ReplyDeleteYour photos are so beautiful of the fog! Like magic!
ReplyDeleteWe love the fog too, and especially when it drifts through the trees and creeps over the hills!
We hope the red ball gets found for little Todd.

Favourite toys have a habit of reappearing at a time and a plAce of their own choosing .
ReplyDeleteThe mystique of fog, you have indeed captured beautifully.
ReplyDeleteMay the red ball find its way home and to the joys of Todd - once again.
Love this post, Kim!
ReplyDeleteI don't mind the fog as long as it isn't too thick. I like to see what's in front of me. :-)
ReplyDeleteI hope you find Todd's favorite toy.
Magical photos in the foggy am mist! Love the silvery web and how I miss forsythia in the spring - it's been years since I've seen it pop out in full bloom back east - lovely! Have an equally peaceful Sunday!

Wonderful photos Kim! The fog does present great photo opportunities. I have always found it very claustrophobic but I will try to look at it differently from now on.....I will!
ReplyDeletePut 10 pounds of Punkin treats in a bag and leave it by the Oak tree next to the main road, the red ball will be returned when the ransom is paid.
ReplyDeleteEaston
Beautiful pictures!
ReplyDeleteHope you've all had a restful weekend!
ReplyDeleteHugs and belly rubs,

Hi Guys, and our little buddy Todd especially! We've had some very foggy mornings here too, hope Todd finds his ball, he's probably hidden it somewhere, that's what we do, but then we forget and get a great surprise when we come across it! xxx

ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos of the fog. Love the spider web! I hope that you find Todd's ball...
ReplyDeleteAnd, no, I don't think that you're putting too much thought into the day care for Todd. I hope that you'll find a place that you're totally comfortable with.
Great shoots! We had fog here to on our vacation in Austria. An our dachshund team had snow, storm and rain in Sweden...
