A Place for Annie

Its been two weeks since Annie came to live with us.  Unfortunately, as you know, we got off to a bumpy start with her because of Lucas.  Thankfully his school-boy crush has all but vanished for the fair and lovely Annie.
I've heard from Annie's previous owner several times asking how she was doing.  I didn't mention to 'Steve' the problems that I was having with Lucas.  But instead, I told him I thought she was happy living with us.  I told Steve about how well she fits in and gets along with our dogs.  I keep having to remind myself that Annie has only been with us for two weeks.
I also mentioned to Steve how much I liked Annie's spark, and that when she wants something, she always lets us know...
And that along with finding a place on our bed at night,
I told Steve that Annie has found a place in our hearts too.

  7. Lucas is like a lot of males I know, they always fall for those beautiful blondes then figure out they'd rather spend time with a more playful red head! (or dog in this case) They'll all work out their places and become a friendly tribe of dogs before you know it, especially with all the love and attention you give them! God Bless all of you!

  24. Kim,
I think Annie is a keeper. When they enter your door they know this is the place they want to stay for the rest of their life.
Lots of love, food, their health is looked after and they have lots of playmates and then there is Todd. He gives them their youth back just watching him.
    Take care my friend.

  34. What a face she has -- I'm in love again, just like with Hamlet. It's interesting how I love them all, but once in a while a dog will come along to your home and my heart just overflows. Hamlet was one.... and now Annie.

  38. Just read your post from April about Sam. I am so so sorry about this sad news. And I know from experience that there are no words to comfort you. I honestly don't know how you do it time after time. All we can do is keep loving them and comfort them. Sam is lucky to have you in his life.

    Hugs, Joyce
