Letting Go of a Bad Week

What a week it was!  I started out on Monday, full of energy and thinking positive. The mornings were so beautiful and there was a feeling of fall in the air.
Then everything started to slowly get away from me and go downhill.  Even the traffic to get to work was worse than  usual.
And don't get me started about the stink-bugs that continue to take over everything outside and are finding their way inside ...
Honestly, when we had a 4 hour power outage, it all just seemed like too much. And just when I was ready to cry 'Uncle' and be consumed by the frustration of everything, I was returned to reality by the antics of Todd.
The goofiness of Toby ...
The nuzzling from Sheba, who by the way is a great listener ...
And Josh who stood there so patiently with a frisbee, his tail wagging and eyes full of hope, inviting me to play his favorite game with him.
It was all I needed to just let go of everything, put it all behind me and look ahead to next week that so far, is a blank slate.
I hope your week is ending on a good note and you enjoy your weekend!

  6. Just leave it up to the kids to lift your spirits. Up to then... I have to agree, that is a pretty sucky week. I almost called you, guess it's a good thing I didn't, that would have been worse then your stink bugs! :D

  7. Yep we pups know how to show and help you two leggers see the positive and beauty even in the midst of the nasty and ugly. It's just a part of our job, and we love it.
I will say MOM would be a little grumpy too if she had to deal with those sticky bugs. Hope your weekend leaves you refreshed and ready to hit the new week head on with eyes, mind and heart focus on the beauty of each day.
    Blessings,

  9. I had a horrible day yesterday, when I got home I was greeted by smiling rottweilers - one with a stuffed lobster and one with an antler in their smiling mouths.

  17. There's nothing like a pack of faithful dogs to put things in perspective. You will never be short of love there :).
I've been reading back to catch up on your blogposts and the 'faithful' pack is a prominent theme. Just LOVE that picture of all of them on the porch. See...they are always ready and waiting. Beautiful fuzz-balls!
Hope next week will feel more settled.

  24. Hi - don't dogs just put everything into perspective for us with their enthusiasm for life and never ending ability to have fun. Even when my lovely dog was hours from dying his tail was wagging and he was sniffing about at the grass and licking us. They are all so beautiful. Lily. xxx

  38. Hey Golden Pines Gang, Jet here. Hi Miss Kim.

OMD, Miss Kim, are we contagious? Mom's had stuff this week too... JJ, Puffy and I always try to shift her frown upside down.

Those bugs are YUCKY, how long does their season run? We empathize (VBP - vocab builder project) on the power outage stuff AND traffic)

Wishing you greater ease. Sending extra Jetty kisses and JJ hugs in case you need them.

  39. A wonderful post and photos! Ugh! That traffic would do me in! Isn't it amazing how the love from an animal can put things into perspective?!

  40. Isn't it amazing how you can start out so perky and positive and then things can just slide downhill from there. But one look from our babies and we turn back to mush. What would we do without them! :)
