Carl is FINALLY going to be home tonight! The evidence of my guilty pleasures that I indulged in like frozen pizza and Moose-Track ice cream with chocolate sauce have all been thrown away. The chocolate cake is history too with the exception of one big piece in the freezer for him. The laundry is done and put away, and the dishwasher emptied. Dog toys left outside have all been brought inside and the yard is all cleaned up, including the hair from a little impromptu grooming session that Sandy had last evening.
Carl will never know about those little things that happened that would not have if he were here. They will remain secrets kept between me and the Goldens and Charlie--However I have a feeling Todd cannot keep a secret and is going to tell him everything!

Ha! There's one in every crowd isn't there?? Oh that Todd...I'm afraid you might be right. He seems the sort of chap that will promise not to tell (with a little bribe) and then it just kinda "slips" out!

Todd does look like a little snitch. It shows in his eyes.
ReplyDeleteYou go with your bad self. Todd realy looks like he has something to say.
ReplyDeleteYou are a stronger woman than I to have saved a piece of the cake for Carl. Thanks for the smile with this post today and I'm sure Carl will be impressed how smoothly everything went in his absence.

OH I love Moose Tracks, too. Have you tried Ben and Jerry's Carmel Sutra? I used to do the same thing when Rob was gone for business, I'd stock up on my favorite junk food and my canine friends learned to keep a secret if they wanted a share of the goodies.
ReplyDeleteTodd is a noble Scot, he would Never, never tell tales on the hand that feeds him.
ReplyDeleteKisses,
Stella

We all need to indulge in a few guilty pleasures once in a while! And if the Bush's Baked Bean secret isn't out yet, I'm betting your secret is safe, too!

Easton can't keep a secret either. We are happy Carl is home and doesn't have to unload the dishwasher. Is Toby the happiest rescue boy you have ever seen? If that isn't validation for rescuing dogs, I don't know what is. Kim, you are a model for us all. Belly rubs for the pack.
ReplyDeleteRoooooooooooooos from Easton (he is back to his normal, playful self)
Hey, a womans gotta have a little fun while the cats away. We promise not to tell, but don't know about Todd. He looks like a squealer to me ; )
