A Tired Tuesday

Our week is off on its usual fast, hurried pace. Our past weekend was a busy and productive one.  Carl took off work Monday to finish getting everything cleaned up, and put back in its place so it can be found next year. We are both thankful (and relieved!) that our tractor made it through the mowing season. Unfortunately it will need work in the spring to repair damage caused by a family of mice that built their home around its engine.
This morning I am really tired because of staying up to late last evening watching the Presidential debates.  Whatever happened to those days when you could survive on a few hours of sleep?  The dogs spent most of their day yesterday outside with Carl and stayed up with me, so I know how they'll be spending their day.  I actually think they're happy when we both go back to work so they can catch up on their sleep.
However you spend your day, I hope it's an enjoyable one!

  11. That's one benefit of living in California, it was only 6 pm when the debate came on. I have voted already, the debates get on my nerves, so I watched the Giants win to go to the World Series in a game that ended with an incredible downpour of rain. It was so much fun! An interesting point about the dogs wishing you would go back to work so they could get some rest!

  14. You and Carl were busy like the bees. I was on a scrapbooking cruise this weekend with 19 other ladies. Very tired though from no sleep and just scrapbooking. I know how you must feel with no sleep. I am trying to catch up on my sleep now.
Hope you have a slow week at work and get to rest.

  16. Mice - why do they like the lawn mowers and such? We had the same problem w/rider this spring!

Sleep, we nearly have to have a keeper putting us in bonds so we slow down and actually sleep. I was awake again last night till three and woke up to see the prettiest orange sunrise. I need to go back to bed! Todd had the right idea!

Nope the days where we could navigate properly after a few hours of sleep are gone...

  17. Yeap, looks like you have worn out a certian pooch, is he snoring? We are the same, weekends are fun and full of the peeps, but during the week they are gone, so we can rest.

  18. Your family have the right idea, after late nights, sleep in the daytime!!! If only we all could do that.Your days will be cooler now,and we have a late frost here. 0.2Celsius now at 6 a.m. poor veges will have to be hosed off before sunrise. Enjoy the debates, we get some of them here, interesting to listen to. Cheers from Jean.

  20. It's so funny you posted about being tired. My hubby and I just had a conversation about it last night. How we used to be able to stay up late and get up still feeling refreshed even after having company until the wee hours of the morning! Now, if somebody even calls after 9 p.m., we say,"Who the heck is calling in the middle of the night!" LOL!

  21. I remember staying up all night dancing and partying with friends, then grabbing a quick shower and off to work. Sleep was something you did on weekends. Wow, times change. Now I drag around if I don't get my sleep, but I refuse to admit to getting old.

  22. "Whatever happened to those days when you could survive on a few hours of sleep?" I think what happened was getting older ;-)

  33. I'm tired too! Our weekends wear me out too.

We just had to have work done on my 4Runner, and the mechanics discovered that a squirrel had stored more than a bucketful of pine cones in my engine!

Lucky dogs... able to snooze all day while you work hard to earn their food!
