Our week is in full swing! To add to its pace, I've been asked to work on my day off. And just to make sure I don't slow down, on Thursday my office starts seeing patients at 7:30, an hour earlier than I'm used to.
For me, losing that free day means I have to get any errands done during my lunch break or after work. It's times like this that I wish I was more like Todd. He's always energetic, alert and ready for the next thing to occur, and the next adventure.
Instead, I'm afraid I've gotten to be more like the senior Goldens--Moving at a slower steady and even pace. But I guess that there's nothing wrong with that, right?

Whatever pace you're moving at this week, I hope it's a good one for you!
Having to work on your day off, bummer!
ReplyDeleteHope it all works out okay and you don't get too tired. I'm on a slow pace at the moment, have torn a cartilege in my knee, just had an injection from the Doctor...oouch!
could you not swap your day off for another one as you have to work?
ReplyDeleteI too am slowing down as I march towards my 50's.
Gill in Canada
It sure changes your rhythm.
ReplyDeleteSorry about that having to work on your day off thing.....
ReplyDeleteLove the pictures especially the geese.
have a great week
Bert
Nothing wrong with that at all. Beautiful photos.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Goose
I feel like a senior golden too ;-).
ReplyDeleteHi Kim, so busy you are, I'm lately like the old Goldens, never in a hurry. Enjoyed the photos once again, Blessings Francine.
ReplyDeleteSlow and steady is the best pace I find, as it's my natural one. However, I very rarely get to go at that pace at work! I have a pretty crazy week this week as well and am wondering how I will get everything that needs doing done!
ReplyDeleteI'm afraid I'm in the Toby category most of my days. But... Once in awhile I hit the Todd highs.
ReplyDeleteIt's beautiful up your way, we haven't quite hit our peak yet.
I'm with Larry my days are slow and relaxing , being retired you don't have to rush any more ! Hope you week turns out good regardless ! Lovely photos !
ReplyDeleteSlow an steady wins the race, they say, but I wish I had an INNER SCOTTIE I could tap into!!
ReplyDeletetime moves too quickly. i think slow and steady is my preferred, too. :)
ReplyDeleteIt is so easy to let time slip away sometimes. Hope you get done what you need to. And if you don't, that's ok too. Have a good week!
ReplyDeleteTodd reminds me of my grandson, I'm always telling him to slow down.
ReplyDeleteAww, I hope working your day off is not a permanent thing.
ReplyDeleteYes, little Todd is a live-wire, Bless him !

Patients at 7.30am, ugh!
ReplyDeleteI think those senior goldens have got it just right, Todd'll learn!
xx
I just wish we could all get back to playing and partying. This mystery sickness has thrown everyone off our normal schedule and it's no fun.
ReplyDeleteThis reminds of George Bernard Shaw quote of youth is wasted on the young.
ReplyDeleteHave a good week even if it requires earlier mornings.
Thanks for being a friend
Sweet William The Scot
Love those Autumn colours. Oh well, the weekend will be here again. You can vege out with the Goldens and watch Todd race around.
ReplyDeleteXXXOOO Daisy, Bella & Roxy
beautiful photos..and I am praying that you adjust to the new schedule
ReplyDeleteKim sometimes I just wear myself out too and have to move at a slower pace, watching Moon & Copper way ahead!!...:)JP
ReplyDeleteRyker is a lot like Todd in the energy department. Me? I'll join up with you and the goldens.
ReplyDeleteHey there, I was here yesterday, and couldn't comment??? Anyhoo, that mountain view, is it a view from your home. Oh how beautiful! When I was still nursing at the clinic, Thursdays were my days off, and I desperately needed them, of coarse, I worked 10 hour shifts the rest of the week, and 12 hour shifts at a nursing home on the week ends. Good luck with that, and give all of the babies a smootch from Soph and me.
ReplyDeleteHi Y'all!
ReplyDeleteYou have some beautiful color there! Love hearing the geese flying...just wish they were going north instead of south.
Y'all come by now,
Hawk aka BrownDog
This week i am moving at a slow pace too. But i dont feel bad about it. Just want the pain to go away. Looking at cute faces like yours help so much!

I'm usually a real go-getter, but lately life seems like it's running faster! I think I need to learn how to juggle?
ReplyDeletei remember in my job . . .
ReplyDeletea constant deadline to meet. every day was spent like a greyhound chasing a carrot.
i couldn't go back to that again. ever.
maybe the dentist is simply taking on too much. unless they're emergencies i don't understand it.
life is so much more.
just ask toby and todd! lol!
beautiful pictures dear heart.
such adorable little faces.
and you can almost hear the geese overhead . . .
love,
tam
Oh my goodness- your photos are so beautiful! The geese- you captured the geese. We have not heard any yet- but I know that soon we will.
ReplyDeleteYour golden autumn is breathtaking.
How I wish we could see it.
It's okay to be like the older Goldens one day- and be like Todd the next- that is how we are!
I hope you do not have to work on your day off- every week- that would be a bummmer. It will be hard for you to get up an hour earlier- oh no!
love
tweedles
I hope that you make it thru your week at a Toby pace! There's nothing wrong with "slow and steady". After all, that often wins the race!
ReplyDeleteTodd is a ball of energy!
If only you could put Todd to work, use is energy to help!
ReplyDeleteKim, your pictures are absolutely stunning!
ReplyDeleteHave a great day.
xo
Lynn
Not slower, just more stately .
ReplyDeleteHi Kim, you and the crew have been busy and I had a great time catching up and enjoyed all the news. I completely u dear stand your frustration with intermittent Internet breaks and we had a Verizon service rep to our home with the same result...no problems found, but he did replace some wiring so that may help.
ReplyDeleteHey Golden Pines Gang, Jet here. Hi Miss Kim.
ReplyDeleteWow, thanks for showing us the leaves turning, they're gorgeous. Bummer you had to work on your day off... a big hmpf! We K9s do help you with perspective, don't we?
BTW, we think your new banner is beautiful. :)
Yea, I know what you mean. Even though sometimes I move slow like Toby, I will always have the joy and spirit that my Chub Brother has. Love you Toby, do a happy dance for me.
ReplyDeleteWOW... great leaf color going on on the trees up your way!! Love it.
ReplyDeleteHave a good week-end... weather is supposed to be gloriously sunny for us. Well, until Sunday that is.
I find I'm less productive if I have to work on my days off - I miss the boys too much!
