It's finally Wednesday! At the end of work today, the week changes gears and starts to slow down. Our weather has suddenly turned cold and it's feeling more like November now. Today Carl is home because the insurance adjuster is coming to look at the barn that lost part of its roof during the hurricane. We're hoping that if the insurance doesn't cover the cost for the entire roof to be replaced, at least the repairs will be paid for.
Todd on the other hand, doesn't care about barn roofs and insurance adjusters. He did however, care about the cinnamon bread that I made and was hoping for a little bite of it.
I hope you're having a good week!
I look forward to catching up with your news later today!
Hope all goes well with the Insurance guy. Damaged barn roof or not, I think it looks a gorgeous building. Message to Todd: 'ask nicely, and you might get a snippet of bread' lol.
ReplyDeleteI hoep the insurance can replace the whole roof. After all we pay insurance every year and most of the time is never used. Todd is such a ham. He looks like a stuffed animal looking at the cinnamon bread. Very cute.
ReplyDeleteHave a great rest of the week. ANA
Hope all goes well with the insurance co.
ReplyDeleteThe cinnamon bread looks delicious - care to share the recipe someday?

I hope it all works out with the adjuster although I'm with Todd on this one and want some of that wonderful cinnamon bread. I think I can actually smell it!!!
ReplyDeletegood luck with the barn roof! *sigh*
ReplyDeletelove your new header collage. :)
I have been thinking about baking some bread now that the weather is cool enough to use the oven. It is just so inviting to dogs and people:-)
ReplyDeleteHave you read your Homeowners Policy yet? We often have wind with our summer storms and this year it caused a number of shingles to blow off. I thought surely my insurance would pay for this but it seems that for Wind, I was responsible for $1,390 first, and then the insurance would pick up any extra. This is after paying a $70 premium every month for 20 years and never having a claim. Thanks, Hartford!
ReplyDeleteGood luck,
Jo
I think I can smell the bread all the way over here. And yes, that is a puddle of drool at my feet.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Goose
I hope it works out with the insurance. Your barn is very pretty. And what would life on the blogs be without Todd?
ReplyDeleteI think you need to be making some more of that bread since nearly everyone wants a piece!!! (looks yummy)
ReplyDeletethat Todd continues to make me smile. Love the last shot--so peaceful!

Wishing it over to his mouth ! I hope all goes well with the insurance people ! Have a good day !
ReplyDeleteHi Kim, What a wonderful barn; praying the insurance company will cover the repairs. I think during a disaster they are so inclined to-at least that was how it was here after our tornado. Todd looks so precious, like you made the bread for him.
ReplyDeleteHope you have a wonderful afternoon.
Hugs, Noreen
I hope Todd got some of that bread!
ReplyDeleteWednesday is always a fun day isn't it? It always heralds the coming end of the work week!
ReplyDeleteI hope the insurance company had good news for you!
Hope the insurance company comes through...they're very good at taking premiums...but..!
ReplyDeleteWe've had a good, if quiet week. It's been warm so we do an hour's walk in the early morning. It's nice sitting outside in the evenings.

It's gotten cold here, too. Abby says it's time to break out the flannel sheets.
ReplyDeleteDid Todd get his reward? And of course every other doggie, too? Can't play favorites.
Sure hope the insurance works out better than I'm afraid it's going to. VA, like MD, is one of the many [maybe all] states that changed the rules after Katrina to really increase the deductible above normal policy limits in the event of hurricane damage. In MD, your stated policy deductible goes out the window and the insurance doesn't have to pay a nickle until you've paid a deductible equal to 5% of the value of your insured property. Good luck!
Todd has got the right attitude to life. I'll take Cinnamon bread over a loss adjuster any dy !
ReplyDeleteLOVE the photo of Todd looking at the cinnamon bread!
