It was just a week ago that I was telling you about CarrieAnne, and I was asking for some healing vibes for her. Well, I'm still asking for them and hope you'll send them. But I'm cautiously optimistic that to me, there doesn't appear to be as much swelling in her right shoulder as last Thursday. I know you'll understand when I say that I'm afraid to say it out loud because I don't want to jinx it. However, I'm really hopeful that the medications and the chinese herbs together are making a difference for Carrie. Even if the lump isn't smaller, and she's still walking with a little bit of a limp, her appetite is back, she's no longer hiding and just seems to be herself which is what's important.
Our new addition Gus has settled in nicely. What a sweet, goofy and silly boy he is! I'm enjoying getting to know him, and having him around. Today hasn't been the best day for him because he's having problems getting onto his feet that keep curling under. But I'm hoping that it is just a bad day, and not a symptom that his degenerative myelopathy is progressing and tomorrow is a better day for our good ole boy named Gus.
Sending good vibes for CarrieAnne and Gus!
ReplyDeleteHumidity is all wet...
They have the Power of this old paw.

Morning Kim, love those furry smiling faces, so beautiful. Prayers still for sweet Carrie Anne, take care, Hugs Francine.
ReplyDeleteSounds like things are going fairly well under the circumstances! We are enjoying beautiful weather too...can't stand humidity. That macro shot of the lily is fantastic!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI was surprised to hear about Gus. D.M. is no picnic and we are all too familiar with the outcome. We are afraid our Miss Betty has reached the final stage as she has given up walking even with the wheeled cart. But we are very thankful for the time we have been given with her as she has managed almost two years longer than her Vet had given us. She is currently showing signs of incontinence and her happy demeanor is fading. I hope and pray that your sweet Gus has some quality time.
ReplyDeleteSending good vibes to all who reside at Golden Pine. I love the photo orange lilly and the green katydid.
ReplyDeleteAroo to you,
Sully

ReplyDeleteSending warm, calm, and healing vibes to all of you.
ReplyDeleteMy little dog Ruby is having a lot of issues that I won't go into but most are age related. Her feet curl in and sometimes she has trouble standing and walking. She just had a really bad night a couple of days ago and yet today she's back to being bossy. This stage of the game is so hard on the heart. So I know what you are feeling. It never gets easier.
ReplyDeleteI've been told that the curled feet can be signs of a neurological issues.
What ever it is, I hope that Gus and Carrie Anne too, have many more good days ahead.
Crikey .... what a wonderful thing you are doing there at Golden Pines. How lucky for those wonderful seniors that you are there. Gus looks adoreable and a bit like my Nan. He still has a mischievous look in his eye.
ReplyDeleteThat is a beautiful photo of the lily, aye??
