Our new arrival Evah, may have taken center stage, but there has still been plenty going on with our other cast of characters. And while I've been caring for those characters inside, the main-character in our house Todd is taking care of what's going on outside. What would be do without him?
Max returned for his final evaluation with the orthopedic surgeon. He was happy with how Max has healed, and he was given the all clear on his left knee. His right knee as expected will also need surgery. There is no reason to think that the rescue won't approve it being done, but it's going to have to wait.
Max has got a pretty ugly ear infection going on right now, and to avoid any cross contamination, he'll have to wait until it's all cleared up. Max is okay with waiting
~Max has been doing a lot of head-shaking with this ear infection~ |
Todd is just glad that none of this is happening to him. At least he hopes it won't.
I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgivings. Glad to hear everyone is doing well. Todd keep up the hard work keeping place safe.
ReplyDeleteAroo to you,
Sully
Oh, poor Max. That ear looks pretty pink, is that from the infection? Such sweet critters. Todd is keeping an eye on everything like a good boy.
ReplyDeleteHowdy Mates. Sounds like life is busy but wonderful. Paws crossed all your fur babies recover, and get well soon. Take care all. No worries, and love, Stella x
ReplyDeleteAlthough some of them are not the 100% in the health stakes, they surely get all the TLC and more, and could not be happier anywhere else. Todd, make sure your eyes get those regular check ups too .

ReplyDeletesara was a little blonde cocker i had once. and she NEVER had an ear infection problem until i took her to the vets for grooming. she immediately got one ear infection after another.
ReplyDeletethey had a young tech who did nothing but give baths.
i didn't know that until later. when i was bathing her i had never gotten the water near her ears. i cleaned them with a wet cloth instead. i think the young tech probably caused many an ear to go bad! not just sara's.
your post of max brought back that memory of EARS.
oh for the energy and good spirits of wee scotty todd!
they're all wonderful doggies though. but don't let him know that.
he thinks he's best of all... and of course...

ReplyDeletePoor Max, we can sympathise - one of our girl Labs has a very nasty ear infection, and no matter what we try, it keeps coming back.

I hope his ear issue eases up soon.
Blue used to have real problems and then they put this treatment in his ears. I can't remember the full name but it was BKT and "B" stands for Baytril. Anyway it's this thick waxy goop that is syringed deep into the ears and you are not allowed to wash it out. After 2 weeks, you get another dose.
After that he had no problems, and it was SO bad before that.
I wonder if your vet knows what that is, might be an idea.
:)
xoxoxo to the rest of your crew and as always, loving little Todd!
