Todd returned to the vet to have his neck looked at. It's healing really well, but just to make sure that doesn't change, he was put on a different antibiotic for two more weeks.
Add Bo to the list of those also doing well. With the return of his appetite, I took a chance and took him off the medications that the vet had him on for nausea. When Todd was seeing the vet she seemed a bit vague about Bo's cancer diagnosis. But she seems pretty sure that there's a mass in his abdomen. I am not sure what to think. I've had his records sent to the holistic vet and I'll talk with her about everything when she comes on Thursday to see Jake.
Speaking of Jake. He went with me and a good friend on Thursday when I made my annual pilgrimage to see the sunflower fields in Maryland.
Of course they are no where like the ones found in the sweeping fields and rolling hills in the southern part of France.
But they do seem to inspire creativity.
And I enjoy walking down the rows of them and taking photos
How did we ever manage with a roll of film and a limited number of pictures? You really can't help but feel better and smile when you walk among them.
Jake seemed to agree with that.
I hope you had a good week too!

Hello, love all the cute dogs and the sunflowers are just beautiful. What a lovely sight to see. Where in Maryland? The last photo is adorable. I am glad Todd and Bo and doing well.
ReplyDeleteSo glad this week has been better for you and all the gang. The first picture reminded me of a sea of cream. Wouldn't a wall color be pretty if one could match the brownish cream of their coats?
ReplyDeleteYeah for dogs healing and happy. We lived in Maryland for ten years and loved the sunflowers. We even grew a few in our garden and the birds loved them.
ReplyDeleteOh my . . .
ReplyDeleteThis was delightful AND recharging!
(Loved the sunflower fields and pics and love, love that final pic!)
Sunflower seed plants!!!! I'd be able to eat for a lifetime.
ReplyDeleteSunflowers and good news for the dogs - all is well with the world !
ReplyDeleteSo happy you had a better week and we are loving the good report on Todd and Bo.
ReplyDeleteThose sunflower fields are amazing. There is a spot here in Kansas where the traffic comes to a total standstill when everyone heads out to see the beautiful fields of sunflowers. Thanks for sharing all that beauty.

Kim, I love your fields of Sunflowers. They are so beautiful; I've only got a few plants in the back yard, but I love them. I am reminded that I need to get some transitional decorations out-sunflowers etc with August being here.
ReplyDeleteHope Todd heals quickly-how very scary and to not know what got into your yard and hurt him. I can only hope he gave the other guy a good fight. Hope you have a great week.
Hugs,
Noreen
Just came from Mongoose in France, seem sunflowers are at their most beautiful at the moment. Love seeing all those goldens in the group shot.
ReplyDeleteA walk through the sunflowers is sure to brighten anyone's day. Glad to hear everyone is feeling better this week.
ReplyDeleteYippy... so happy dat Todd is healing well and dat Bo is hanging in dar. I've been crossing my paws for dem.
ReplyDeleteWags,
Ranger
Pees.... Love da flowers.
Good news about Todd and Bo. Hope the holistic vet can help. A mass is pretty random. I hope it is not cancer. Maybe he ate a pillow.
ReplyDeleteBlessings to you all.
So glad things are going better. Love the sunflowers.
ReplyDeleteYou have quite a collection of blondies! Great sunflower pictures...so many in that field... Hopefully Bo will hang in there with some quality days.
ReplyDeleteOh my, those sunflowers are magnificent.
ReplyDeleteThose sunflowers and Jake are gorgeous!!! As for Bo's mass, maybe it's not cancer. We had a dog ("S" from early in my blogging time) who we were told was almost certainly about to die from hemangiosarcoma. It's a long story but it ended in a miracle - they were wrong - and he lived another 2 years! I sure hope that Bo gets that kind of miracle. Thank you for standing up for him and taking such good care of him. I've become very fond of him through your stories and photos.
ReplyDeleteoh it's all good!
ReplyDeletei'm hoping the holistic vet says there's lots of good dog time left for beloved bo! ditto KB Bear! xo♥
Todd is looking so much better, i wish i would have escaped in a field of sunflowers instead of corn, it would have been much more artistic. We think about your pack each and every day, cos mom wants them all.........geez. mag
ReplyDeleteI especially like the group picture on the porch. Encouraging news about Bo feeling better. Jake looks beautiful among the sunflowers.
ReplyDeleteGood news about Bo. If the appetites back then he's happy. Dogs of course live completely immersed in the present and don't have all the burdens of worry that humans do.
ReplyDeleteGreat news and beautiful photos - you Angus wannabe!!
ReplyDeleteI was planning a trip to a local sunflower farm this weekend! I have no idea how we managed with only 24 pictures per roll!
ReplyDeleteJake was just made to sit among the sunflowers!
ReplyDeleteLove love LOVE these pictures, Kim, and the commentary to go along with. Keeping all your brood close in thought & prayers. Love, Andrea xoxo
ReplyDeleteBeautiful sunflowers,,,,
