While so many are remembering the events of September 11th, I mean no disrespect, but today, I am remembering our 15 years with Josh who will make his journey to the Rainbow Bridge later today. I hope you will light your candle for him to find his way there, where I know he will have quite a greeting.
There are no words that can articulate the heartbreak or say how much Josh will be missed.
God speed to my "Missta-Jay."
It doesn't help that you knew this day was fast approaching, I know. There's no way to prepare.
ReplyDeleteSadly, I did know this day was quickly coming, and I knew I wouldn't be ready.
DeleteAs you said, 'No words.'
ReplyDeleteWe are never ready.
ReplyDeleteOh my, Good Bye dear Josh. I agree, we are never ready to let go.

This is always such a difficult decision to make but we always know when it is time. My vet always says to me, it is a kindness that you do for your loved pets. Your Josh was loved greatly and I am so happy he got to do those things on the bucket list.
ReplyDeleteIt truly is never easy. Soft woos and gentle hugs from all of us. If you need a smile, drop by and see our new toy.

Dear sweet Josh. There just never is enough time. You gave him such a wonderful life. He was one lucky dog. And I do admire you for letting him go when he told you it was time.
ReplyDeleteIt is so hard but it is also a loving gift for our treasured companions. 15 years - a wonderful life full of love

Been there, suffered through that. God speed, Josh.
ReplyDeleteWe all know this day comes but still, it comes far too soon. We will send light to Josh so that he sees his way across the Rainbow Bridge where he will be surrounded by furry friends and love. Thinking of you.
ReplyDeleteWith dogs you know he's running ahead to a place where eyes are bright and limbs fresh and supple.
ReplyDeletePS I see the Lift 'em up harness in the photo so the limbs fresh and supple knowledge is doubly true. Be strong.
ReplyDeleteoh kim.

ReplyDeleteSweet Josh my heart goes out to you, hubby and the gang he will be missed, it was lovely that you fulfilled his bucket list Kim, remembering the good times he had.
ReplyDeleteMy heart just sank to see this post. Darling Josh. We will all miss him. May God bless you. On to a bright day, Josh!
ReplyDeleteChills and tears. I was thinking that there was no indication that the rainbow bridge was so soon. So very sorry, truly.
ReplyDeleteI am so glad he got to fulfill some of his bucket list. My Gus loves camping and his pup ' smores, so was happy to see that sweet Josh got to enjoy that experience.
Many hugs and love,
Gus' Mom
We are never ready for the loss . They will always be remembered and in our hearts .
ReplyDeleteAgain...you are the strongest woman I know. Josh had 15 years of heaven with you.
ReplyDeleteI am so very sorry. This hits very hard because my Fudge is having such a bad time. Lately my life revolves around seeing to his needs and keeping to his schedule. It breaks my heart to see these sweet loyal boys grow old while I still see them as crazy young pups.
ReplyDeleteOh, such terribly sad news :( Wishing you peace and strength, and wonderful memories of your dear, lovely boy. Godspeed, Josh.
ReplyDeleteI have been following your blog for sometime with joy and sadness but I never posted a comment. I am very sorry for the loss of your Josh. You posted a beautiful picture of him on September 11. Would you be kind enough to tell me where you got his harness. One of my dogs have DM and I think a harness like this would help him and I tremendously. I live in Canada.
ReplyDeleteThank you,
Louise
Hi Louise! THANK YOU for your kind words on the loss of Josh! The harness that Josh used, and my dog and Jake uses as well, is called a "Help 'Em Up Dog Harness." I've used them for several years, for dogs with DM just as your pup has, and arthritis like Josh had. The harness truly makes a difference - Another reader of this blog got one for his dog in France, so I know you could get one in Canada! :-) But they are well made, and worth every penny and are even machine washable. If I can help you in any way, or answer any questions about them, PLEASE don't hesitate to ask!! And if you get a chance, let me know how it's going. Take care, and thanks again!
DeleteAnd I don't know how to put links into comments, but here's the website address for the harness:

Thank you very much for the info. I will get one for sure and will let you know. Thanks for the link!
DeleteOh Kim.... no words, just prayers. *gentle hugs*
