The first really cold weather of the season has arrived. I am not quite ready for it, but it is November and the cold and the frost had to come sometime.
Todd being true to his Scottish heritage doesn't mind the chillier weather. He is dealing with a sore ear the last couple of days. He's on medications for it, but is still scratching at it. I put an e-collar on him (or the "cone of shame!) to keep him from making it even more sore.
So, I doubt that he's noticed the cooler temperatures today because he wants nothing more than to get that annoying e-collar off.
But he's just daring any of the other dogs to make fun of him because he's wearing it!
I wonder if that's what Rhett was doing?
Awe poor Todd . Hope his ear gets better soon . Our Miggs also loves the colder temps but she is is now 8 years old has developed Arthritis here and there and cant be out in the colder weather for long anymore and that she is not happy about but we still have our nice walks every day but she feels it afterwards now poor girl . I have been in a blogging slump so haven't been about blog land much. Thanks for sharing have a good weekend !
ReplyDeletePoor boy. It's bag enough having a sore ear...then having to wear the cone of shame...even if it has another name. We hope it heals quickly, so he can enjoy the cooler weather. Must say your flowers are looking sad, as well.
ReplyDeleteTodd, would wearing a winter coat help, as then you would have a Huge collar as well to keep your neck warm? Never mind what is was there for in the first place.. Winter, we have left ours well behind, and as I watch the trees across the stream being felled, I think of the many happy people who will benefit, new furniture, mulch, and firewood from all the too small branches and logs.Keep warm up North.
ReplyDeleteNone of us are crazy about those darn cones either. Timber will be having the honor of wearing one soon as he will be "fixed" in early December. We hope Todd's ear gets better soon. That is a very good pic of Rhett having fun:)
ReplyDeleteWoos - Lightning, Misty, and Timber
Poor Todd! the cone of shame is never fun to wear at all. Hope the ear heals quickly

Poor, poor Todd! I hope that his ear gets better very fast so that he can get rid of that cone. I love Rhett's spirit!
ReplyDeleteIt's always great to drop by and get charged up seeing your cast of characters and the antics they're pulling. Thanks for giving us a peek.
ReplyDeleteWhat was Rhett doing? Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn.
ReplyDeleteRomey has been having a terrible time with allergies...we just do not know to WHAT! Instead of the cone...our vet suggested a onesie. So....he is in puppy pajamas 24/7 so that he cannot reach the real itchy spots on his back and stomach. If only we could find out what the heck it is! Hope Todd is feeling better...it is awful to have a sore ear! Rhett is having FUN!! :)
ReplyDeletePoor Todd, I hope that ear soon heals. At least it looks as though it's only Rhett is making fun of Todd's cone !
ReplyDeleteRhett is chuckling for sure. Gail
ReplyDeletePoor Todd. I hope his ear heals soon. I had laughed out loud at Rhett, he is laughing. Happy Friday, enjoy your weekend!
ReplyDeleteSmiling . . . poor Todd . . . sometimes we have to do what we have to do!
ReplyDeleteOur little critters usually don’t know how to leave “owies” alone!
(I do think Rhett saw an opportunity!)
somehow little todd seems invincible!
ReplyDeleteI hope he can be well and rid of that old cone soon.
xo♥
Todd’s got attitude!
ReplyDeleteSorry about your ear Todd and hope it is better very soon and you do not need the horrible collar thing any more. It must be even more annoying when the others are laughing at you! Take care - nose licks and love from Moth xx
ReplyDeleteAllergy time here too. Weekly Zymox for those long floppy dirt collecting ears.
ReplyDeleteSebastian loves rolling in the dirt and rubs dirt into his eyes and ears. It's a constant battle.
ReplyDeleteTodd,, I hope your feeling better!
