Straight Lines

Below was the scene a couple of days ago in the kitchen. The pups were patiently waiting for what is one of the most important parts of their day....
BREAKFAST!!
It's also a perfect example of why I haven't walked a straight line through my house in years.
And I'm okay with that.
~A satisfied Rhett after breakfast~
I hope you have a good weekend!  Free from the dreaded "cone of shame" Todd's is off to a good start!

  2. They are happy, even when waiting, Todd, enjoy your freedom once again, and Rhett, a gorgeous smile.

  3. I understand completely. My living room is an obstacle course with living obstacles.

  4. Our youngest daughter sent us a picture of a foster dog she picked up last night after a late night romp. Apparently 120 dogs were being moved from rural kill shelters to the bigger city's no-kill shelters and the bus broke down at 7:30 pm and couldn't be fixed. Ten people set out with SUV's to rescue the dogs and bring them the rest of the way. They were out walking them until 1 am. The world is so fortunate to have people like you and her in it.

  5. Scotties should be free of those cones.

  6. Understand the no straight line walk. It's like that here with only three dogs. Of course, Dui is usually in the way no matter where you want to walk. Todd looks ready for action.

  7. What pictures of contentment with all the pups happily eating their breakfast. It's the most important meal of the day here, other than dinner of course !

  9. I'm glad that Todd is free of the cone! And, Rhett seems like he's really won over your heart - he's sure won over mine! Have a great weekend.

  10. Yay, the cone is gone - hope things continue to be healed and good.

We do a similar lineup here too - and Lightning always manages to sing a song as he waits (not so patiently :)

  13. I laugh twice a day when the pack arranges themselves for meals at our house. I somehow thought only my house looks like this, and that other multi-dog families have nice orderly lines. Love, Love, Love to read about Golden Pines!!

  17. I can't even imagine how you ever take more than a few steps without having to find a different direction! I'm amazed how it looks like most of the pups eat together in the same area. I loved your story a few posts back about Rhett getting two breakfast meals when Cissy left her bowl! That is a true golden, never getting satiated! There is is never a snack that we eat that Gus doesn't "share"!
I marvel at the time it must take you to prepare all of the meals and then the clean up to boot. And on top of that, I know the babies all get different meals!
Gus just turned 8 yesterday and his little face is turning paler by the day. I can imagine all of those sweet sugar faces looking up at you1 That why you don't mind not getting to walk a straight line...
    Hugs,
    Gus' Mom

  18. That's a lot of dogs to feed. Do you ever all over one of them? I did with one of mine once and broke my arm! And I only had four.
