My heart remains heavy after the loss of Sophie, coming a couple of months after the loss of Charlie. I really miss them both. But I cannot help but reflect how blessed I have been to share my life with these unique and special dogs like Sophie and Charlie that have left me with so many memories. And I'm grateful for your sharing their losses with me. There is a lot of power in that. It has become part of my healing and I cannot thank-you enough.
On the lighter side of life, we all know that cats and dogs have a way to bring joy and laughter into our lives. If we've had a bad day, they are right there by our side helping us to forget our troubles. And as always, Todd is no exception to that. The video below is something Todd does all the time. And it always gives me a grin. Todd is truly the lighter side of life for me.

Todd could keep you occupied and smiling all day. Each loss has its own sorrow, and memory, and I am sure we all know both of those so well. Be sure that you gave them all the most love and care ever, and the happiness they gave in return is lasting.
ReplyDeleteHello,
ReplyDeleteI have many happy memories of my old dogs, they are missed like Sophie and Charlie. I am glad Todd is there keeping your smiling and happy. He is a cutie, I think he wanted you to come out and play. Have a great day and a happy new week!
How many times do you have to open the door for him to come in? I think he wants you go come outside.
ReplyDeleteYeah. He wants you to come outside with him. Chester knows he'll get a treat when he comes in, so no problem there. But sometimes he likes to play "magic yum yum door" by wanting to go out every 15 minutes. LOL BOL!
ReplyDeleteTodd sure is a comedian! We think he just wants you to be outside with him.
ReplyDeleteI knew Todd would be the best to help heal the sorrows you so unselfishly take on when you bring the old dogs home and care for them until the end of their lives. You are such a special person doing somethig so loving and beautiful caring for these dogs.
ReplyDeleteI forgot: Of course Todd wants you to come out to play in that video and he's not giving up. He's a terrier, after all.
ReplyDelete*bahahahahaha* Todd!!! Those eyes... that face... that tail!!! Pure wonderfulness!!!!!!! ~Andrea xoxo
ReplyDeleteLOL. a battle of wills for sure.
ReplyDeleteknock knock come outside Mom!
she closes door.
repeat.
she closes door.
repeat.
maybe it turned into a game! who knows for sure. but...
you're the best Mom. the little guy's just messin' with ya!
Ha Ha - Todd and Lightning must have conspired together to make up that game. He does it here at least once or twice a day. Eventually Mom gives up and just leaves the door open a wee bit - and of course, in trots Lightning:)
ReplyDeleteWe had a very sad period of time last year with out Misty dilemma. But every morning without fail, Misty brings a smile to Mom's face when she greets her once Mom comes downstairs like she hasn't seen her in months:) Sure does warm the heart and reaffirms the push to get her home (with thanks to YOU again).
Woos - Lightning, Misty, and Timber
Typical Scottie
ReplyDeleteOh boy, I think Todd wants you to go out! Such a funny boy!
ReplyDeleteBless him, Todd just wants to make sure that you know he loves you, and would like you to play!
ReplyDeleteInca often "asks" to go out (as long as there is no chance of food!), and when she goes through the door, she turns as if to say "Aren't you coming too?". We then go through the whole performance several times before she finally makes up her mind to either really go out or come in!
Todd is priceless; thank you for the good laugh this gave me!
ReplyDeleteThat is the best comfort you can get - Todd to make you smile! It worked for me! I think he wants you to come out and play! :)
ReplyDeleteSo glad you have Todd ~ Loss of Sophia hurts ~ they never stay long enough but what joy and love they bring to us ~ I have a rescue now but lost my yorkie last August and it hurt dreadfully ~ Be well ~ Xo
ReplyDeleteMade me smile Kim, Todd has the bark down pat.
ReplyDeleteWalking over the step, not so much.
Woof Woof!
