Another Snowy Saturday

We've had about 5 inches of lovely snow today! Knowing it was on the way, I got up early, went to the store, the laundry-mat to wash dog beds, and the final stop was at the 7-11 for a Big Gulp--We got the dogs fed and walked just as the snow started to fall at around 9:30 this morning.

As I was unloading my van afterwards Charlie was sitting in the front seat waiting for a car-ride. Unable to coax him out I left him there. I have to admit that I forgot about him and remembered him about an hour later. He was still sitting in the front seat waiting and hoping for that ride...How could I say no to this face?
It was actually a nice little drive around our area. I took a road I'd not taken before and it was pretty scenery and we saw a fox and several deer.
Good to see that the mail was being delivered because sometimes in crummy weather it isn't. Charlie seemed much happier.

It was a nice drive. Charlie was right, we needed a little jaunt around the snowy country side.

  2. Hi Charlie
Isn't it so fun to go sit in the car? I like to do that too, cause I like to go check for crumbs that have fallen from something mommy ate. Sometimes I find some good stuff- like popcorn. I am glad that your happy little face got to go for a little ride. You sure are beautifuls Charlie. I hope you have fun in the snow.

  5. Well, Charlie got his ride, you're a good mama. Poor Tootie is too little to get her dainty little paws in that cold white stuff, ha! We got that same storm and it sure dumped snow and ice on us. It's pretty, but now I'm ready for it to melt away and let Spring poke it's little crocus head through the soil.

  8. Oh Kim Charlie's face is so adorable!!! I don't think I could have said no either :) No snow here in Pittsburgh but it is really COLD--sunny but COLD. The high this morning was 3 degrees. Sassy and Mabel don't seem to mind. They are outside right now running all around. When they come into the warm, they are going to be so tired. That will be a good thing :) Hope you enjoy the rest of the weekend!!! Stay warm

  9. There is no way I could have said no to that sweet face either! Sometimes us fur babies have the best ideas. It's great if our peeps listen.

Thanks for blogging about it. It's so fun to see the snow!

I can't believe you may not have gotten mail over that little bit of snowfall!
Wait till I show you what a door to door mailman has to drudge threw most days on foot.
We have had our first big Winter storm of sorts and I can't wait to post those pictures.
    Love your pictures as always.

  17. "Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds" We take issue with this, we often are affected by storms and we especially take issue with the adjective just before "completion."
That was a very scenic trip; we got considerably more snow than 5 inches though, so travel wasn't really an option down here. We're still waiting for the first county snow plow to come through the development.
