Sunday-Snowman-Snippet

Okay, I just had to share this...For the last 20 years or so I've been collecting snowmen--I love everything snowman, snow-woman, snow-boy, girl, etc...Last year I started buying "Williraye" figurines. I LOVED the snowmen and started buying and bidding on them on eBay.

Around Christmas there was one in particular that caught my eye. I bid on it, and didn't win. I had a little bit of a chuckle a couple of weeks ago when I was unpacking some snowmen and saw that I'd forgotten that I had that exact figurine that I'd lost out on. Today I was putting away the very last of the Christmas decorations (I know, I'm a bit behind) and I pulled out a box, opened it, and guess what? Yes, it held that exact same figurine...I've absolutely no idea when I bought it since I don't even remember getting the first one! At least my taste is consistent!! But maybe this also explains why we have so many of the "same" dog; I just keep forgetting that I already have one--or two or three or...

  1. Hello Kim,
Oh this post sure brought a smile to my face. I have done the very same thing only with scrapbook idea magazines. I see the cover on the newstand and am so excited to read the ideas inside. I make myself a cup of tea and begin to read. HMMMMM....this page looks familar and so I read on. HMMMM this page looks familar too. You guessed it I already purchased this magazine. I am embarrassed to say that I have done it more than once.(heheh) Oh and as far as having so many of the same dog...I say you can't have too much a good thing :) Have a great week
    Mimi~

  3. he he you made me smile about getting the same dog ! I don't know what posessed me to get a second retriever as we only have a small place. Dillon was supposed to be a cat when we went looking !...but couldn't resist those puppy dog eyes & he had the waggiest tail I've ever seen !!

I love the snowman on the sheep - no wonder you chose it twice !

I only just put the decs in their box & in the loft - they were piled up on the kitchen table for days !!!

  7. Hello there, Kim
    GREETINGS FROM SOUTH AFRICA!!!

...and thank you for popping by to visit us. It is always wonderful to make new friends and get to know a little about their lives.
I really LOVE your blog!!!You have a way of writing that really inspires me and I will be following you intently!

You seem to live in an absolutely idyllic place (some more photos sometime perhaps???) - It seems like the place I would gleefully visit just to sit down and write!
As for your Goldens....you are indeed a special person.

I love Macquire's story. He reminds me so much of Max. Goldens take on a special 'aura' when they reach that age - something that not many people get to see or allow themselves to be treated with. I am sure he will honour that gift to you if you adopt him - although I can surmise that your dog-food and vet's bill must be enormous!

Anyway, I hope we can get to know each other more in the future. Good luck in all your endeavours this year.
    Take care and lotsalicks,
