Here at Golden Pines, we hate bugs!
Black and scarlet bugs
Green Bugs Bad Bugs Mean looking bugs Any kind of a bug... A bug in the grass A bug on the side of a tree A bug on the glass Long bugs Young bugs Fat bugs
Skinny bugs Buggy bugs Yes, we hate bugs...
Okay, I do which is why I usually stay on the porch.
Hope you all are having a good week!
***The pictures of the bugs have been taken through the summer; whenever I'd see a bug, I'd take its picture, most have been cropped down. But the picture of the dogs was taken this morning--The dogs in the photo are, starting at the bottom, Josh, Sheba (head through the railing) the Chub Brothers with Bubba being closest, Toby and Rudi in the very back.
Not too fond of little ole buggies myself. The day before yesterday, I got my mail from the mailbox, and put my hand right on a fat old spider. I don't know what the people going by in their cars thought of the old lady jumping and screaming by the side of the road, sigh.
ReplyDeleteI love that last picture. Who's the one with his head stuck through the railing? Too cute!
Kim,
ReplyDeleteYou’re funny. As my late Grandmother would have said "Oh shaw! Those little ol things, the good lord gave them all a reason to be here, save the mosquito, that's when the Lord said oops".
Doc
I hate bugs too! I can't name them all, but, no need to, ugly is ugly.
ReplyDeleteThe kids look so cute, all lined up so everyone gets a good view! Bubba looks tired.
We hate them too - and this has been a banner year for bugs!!
ReplyDeleteLove the picture of the "gang" on the porch.
That's a lot of bugs Kim! Bless them, all lined up probably itching to go for a walk and explore. S x
ReplyDeleteI hate bugs also. I even hate to look at them so it took courage to look at your pics. Love your dogs though. I have one dog and am seriously thinking of getting another if my husband agrees.
ReplyDeleteAmazing photography! I do hope Bubbas swimming lesson pics are just as great! xxx
ReplyDeleteALL the pics are great. Excellent bug pics. They are wallpaper worthy! Love the dog pic, too. Sheba is too cute. My Max does stuff like that. We have a little shelf in front of the living room window with a plant on top. We don't dare put anything else on the bottom two, as either Max or one of the cats will knock it off so they can lay or sit there to look out the window or nap.

those are some awesome bug pictures!! i hate bugs too! especially if they bite....
ReplyDeletedarling pic of the doggies on the porch! the chub bro's are looking good!
xoxoxo
Ick. That's all I can say. Just ick.
ReplyDeletePhew. Am I ever glad you did not include a picture of a s-p-i-d-e-r. I called 911 once on one.
ReplyDeleteGive me a million mice, snakes, whatever than one you-know-what.
I can't even say its name.
And yes, i know, they make medication for stuff like that.
YUCK to bugs!! Though I must admit ~ for some reason I don't mind the black and scarlet bugs (we call them Maple bugs) at all. They usually come out in the fall and are forever in the house. They don't bother me ~ and Banjo thinks they are yummy! :)
ReplyDeleteAll the pups look so sweet!
Have a terrific day Kim!
xo Catherine
your very good at taking photos. I hate bugs too xxx
ReplyDeleteI can't stand bugs! And it's such a curse because I love to garden, so close encounters with bugs are inevitable.
ReplyDeleteI will mention that this is the first summer I haven't "vocally" freaked out about the bugs...even when I found a spider dangling off of my forehead after watering the sunflowers! :)
Kim,
ReplyDeleteThis bug photo shoot was amazing.
We have some of those same bugs, but it was interesting to see the others we don't have yet.
Wish I new the names of some because I can never tell what is a good bug or a bad bug.
The troops look so cute all lined up in dogie order.
I'm sure some just have their favorite spot and they are not going to give it up.
Any bugs that khlimb or rokhks...
ReplyDeleteOr maybe even have chikhken pox?

This post reads like a children's book!Very cute!
ReplyDeleteI kinda like the bugs...I mean, I want them in THEIR space and NOT mine, but I think they are incredibly interesting to watch. And you do take some really excellent pictures of them! One thing I really like about the bugs in the summertime is their voices added to the cacophony that IS the country summer night. When winter comes and we are hiding inside for warmth, we will no longer hear those bugs and the critters who LOVE to eat them!
ReplyDeleteGreat post and love those dogs!
Wow! Cool bug pics! But they're not as cool as all your babies lined up on the porch!
ReplyDeleteThe Road Dogs
Hi Kim
ReplyDeleteI can relate. I do not like any bugs, and if one gets on me,,,, well- its time to scream!
However,,, you did a nice job getting close enough to take their photos!
Those adorable Goldens. We never get tired of looking at them. They are all so sweet. And we can see how loving they are, each and everyone!
love

Oh bugs! Some great closeup of these little pesty critters :)
ReplyDeleteFantastic porch shot! Would love to jump in the photo and just hang out with ya all!
Hugs and snaggle-tooth kisses,
Sierra Rose
That last photo is priceless.
ReplyDeleteWoof! Woof! Great bug photos. Yes I hate bugs too. Right now, we have lots of mosquitoes. Woof! Woof! to Chub Brothers. Happy Weekend. Lots of Golden Woofs, Sugar
ReplyDeleteWhat a great shot of the dogs on the porch! They all look SO contented.
ReplyDeleteI love golden retrievers and I love porches....
Hey there Kim
ReplyDeleteI really loved your bug pictures. Most people hate these creatures but, whilst they are irritating they are also fascinating in their design...
When I saw the green cicada-type bug it made me think of our 'bushbabies' (small squirrel like creatures with big, round eyes). Those bugs are their favourite meal and they hold them in their little hands and eat them like it is the meal of their dreams!
Nature sure is amazing!
I'm sorry that I've not been around to your blog lately. Please know that I'm still really fond of you!!!:)
Sending lotsaluv

While I'm not too fond of bugs, I don't mind them much, but your pictures of these bugs are just beautiful, I have to say! Wow - what a great photog. you truly are! And I especially love that last picture - resting, dreaming goldens!
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!
Hugs xoxoxo
Sammie and crew here
The older I become, the less I can deal with bugs... what's up with that? ick....
ReplyDeleteThey are great photos! What lens were you using?
They all look delicious ('cept the skeeter).
ReplyDeleteLove the picture of the kids. Looks like the Chub Brothers have settled in nicely. Did you get approval to continue taking Bubba to his swim therapy?
We are being overrun by bugs this summer, some of those varieties too! I really love the picture of the goldens on the porch!
ReplyDeleteSam
We much prefer the picture of the dogs to looking at the bugs. Not that the bug photos aren't well-taken. We just think the dogs are handsomer. :)
ReplyDeleteGreat bug shots for someone who hates them! The pups look so peacefule on the proch!
ReplyDeleteI'm not keen on bugs either, but they are rather beautiful.
ReplyDeleteIt's spiders I can't bear.Luckily we don't get the huge ones over here like you have.
GORGEOUS pic of the furry babies!
Bellaboo :o)
Hi new Friend,
ReplyDeleteYou came to my blog and became a follower, thank you!! I love new friends, that's why we blog. I live in the woods too and have all those bugs and we have a garden and I have probably smashed every one at one time or another.
Looking forward to getting to know you and your great family of animals.
XO, Bambi (dog) & Fern (her Mom)
apart from the bugs your day is just like one of mine
