However, with the rising price of gasoline that seems to be going up every day, I just hope we'll be able to afford the gas to get there and back without having to take a second mortgage on our house!
I'm really going to miss the pups that we're not taking with us.
We've never both left the dogs before, but I know they'll be just fine!
(Carl & Toby)
One thing I can't leave behind is my computer. As you may know, I'm an 'internet junkie' so we are taking one with us. Hopefully I'll be able to post pictures of our trip while we're gone. If not, look for an update by the end of the weekend when we return!
I hope you have an enjoyable week!! (Tanner below)
Don't worry about the gas, Kim -- just go and enjoy yourself! You definitely have earned a vacation for all the things you do! :)
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to seeing some vaca pics.
Have a safe drive and a wonderful, restful time away...
ReplyDelete(I detest leaving my babies at home too which is why I hate to travel...)
Safe Travels!
ReplyDeleteI hope that you have an AWESOME trip! Drive safely and take plenty of pictures.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy every minute!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful, relaxing time.
ReplyDeleteHello Kim
ReplyDeleteWe have that same problem with the price of petrol/gas so that price board could definitely been seen here as well - its jumped up again this past week and 'they' are blaming Libya this time for the rise
No matter what Kim, enjoy the break - take care on the road.
Cathy
I'm so excited for you. Have a wonderful, safe trip!! Can't wait to hear all about it.
ReplyDeleteThe dogs could go along, harness them up and they can pull the van. That way you can save gas and have a cheap vacation.

Kim I hope you have a wonderful relaxing vacation!!! Enjoy every minute of it. I can't wait to see pictures and hear of your adventures :)

Drive carefully!!! The rain has been unreal. My internet and tv have hardly worked since this afternoon. Service stops with each new wave. I do hope you enjoy your trip, and your vacation, and your friends!

Have an awesome time!
ReplyDeleteI like your gas price sign. It made me smile, remembering that when we did a huge trip to Montana, our longest road trip ever, diesel for our 4wd van was over $4 per gallon. We just said WTF and laughed! Gotta live...
Have a wonderful trip. Drive Safe.
ReplyDeleteLook forward to photos and stories when you return.

Thanks for the laugh - and have a wonderful, restful, happy holiday!
ReplyDeleteI hope your trip turns out very good for you guys. I know you need some time away. I know how hard it is to leave the dogs. It kills me when I had to once.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your visit Kim.
Good luck on your trip.
xx, Bambi & Fern
Thanks for leaving the comment on my blog Kim. I wish I could take Ivy but we just don't have the room. After I rescued Sammy (all 140 pounds of him) I promised my husband I would network to find homes. It just makes me so so so so sad.
ReplyDeleteI know you understand....I will keep networking until I find her the right home....Thanks again..
Drive safely and have a blast!!!
ReplyDeleteAs for gas prices, if you think they're bad down in the States, try our Canadian prices on for size. In Montreal we are currently paying 1.35 a liter. Convert that to gallons and we would be paying 5.40$ a gallon...if I calculated that right. I looked up your gas prices in West Virginia and they would be the equivalent of 88 cents a liter up here...We would be so happy to be paying your prices!!!
Loved the sign!
ReplyDeleteSafe travels, dear friend.

Oh, I wish you the most wonderful trip EVER! I hope you get to relax and have fun. Sleep in, go for long walks. Snuggle with your hubby and cuddle the lucky dogs who get to make the trip with you. I'm so happy that you are able to take this time to refresh yourself and recharge your batteries. You work so hard ~ now you get to play!
ReplyDeleteHave fun! I'm glad you're taking your computer so we can keep tabs on you...
;-)
Have a wonderful break, those pups will be absolutely fine - what a super welcome you'll get on your return!!

We are also daunted by the thought of rising gas prices... 2 months till we are back in the UK where it will be the equivalent of nearly $2.30 a litre!!
ReplyDeletethat's so cute with him peeking between the knees.
ReplyDeleteThat is such a GREAT sign - first time I've laughed at "gas" pains at the pump! Looks like a beautiful trip you're having and a Tennessee cabin sounds wonderfully inviting - know you're having a super time! And the scenery is spectacular - can't wait to hear more!
