Last night he became acquainted with a big toad on our porch.
I silently gave a cheer and a prayer of thanks as Rudi reached day 50 of grace today. Each day that passes becomes more of a valued treasure, time more precious. We quietly celebrated with a very, very brief game of frisbee. Anytime she has one, she seems happy. It goes without saying that I'm happy too.
I hope you've had a good weekend!
I am so glad to hear you had a day of just what you needed! I can't help repeating myself, Todd is so cute he looks like a stuffed animal...especially in the dryer. He is so funny! Dear, blessed, lovely, Rudi. I have come to love her so.
ReplyDeleteRudi looks well !

Hi Kim! Rudi looks really good... bless her heart.

ReplyDeleteI'm happy that you had a nice day. I seriously think that you are keeping Rudi alive with LOVE! Just think, almost two months ago, the vet said she should be put down and today she played frisbee!!!
ReplyDeleteHi Kim
ReplyDeleteAren't those uneventful days the very best? calmness thats what we all need.
Some days seem like races- don't they?
We see the moon tonight peeking from behind the forest trees. Can you see it?
Do you feel its peace?
That little Todd is such a little cutie pie. We all smiled when we saw the photo of him in the dryer.
He is so inquisitive- isn't he?
Hopefully he got all rested up from his fun at day care.
Rudi seem to have a smile on her face as she lays there looking at you. I really do think she enjoyed her romping with the frisbee... more days of "grace" to our special friend.
The gorgeous butterflys are exactly what we needed to see tonight,,, so magical and peaceful.
As I look at your side bar,, we are kissing each little face of all the furries and they scroll

ReplyDeleteRudi is so special. I'm glad she had a good day. Todd is a funny little guy!
ReplyDeleteGood to see Rudi is still having more good days than not. We're keeping our paws crossed for her and for Wilf. Hope Todd is learning from the older dogs which outside critters are ok to approach and which are dangerous.
ReplyDeleteJed & Abby
That first photo of Todd reminded me of a night I spent, many years ago, in a capsule hotel in Tokyo although it looks like Todd had far more space!
ReplyDeleteI'm so pleased Rudi has had fifty extra days of love with you, and hope that she has many more.
Oh Kim...
ReplyDeleteThe youthful vigour of Todd and the gracious aging poise of Rudi. What an incredible privilege it is to watch this circle of life, isn't it? I am so happy that Rudi is able to celebrate her 50days of Grace. I know how much each one means...and there will be more...
Butterflies too - part of Life's metamorphosis..how poignant!

The little things like a short game of frisbee can be so special. Especially on the 50th day of grace.
ReplyDeleteRudi does look happy.
Hang in there girl.
Sweet Rudi! She does look content, Kim. What a sweet girl.
ReplyDeleteAnd Todd... well, I love seeing Todd being Todd. He's such a doll. :)
Rudi looks better in that picture than she has recently. I'm so glad you're getting some extra time with her. I know how special it is.
ReplyDeleteDon't you love watching puppies explore their world?
Wowserz! That's the biggest toad I've ever seen!! Be careful of toads -- not sure if you have these where you live, but you don't wanna come in contact with the poisonous bufo toad!
ReplyDeleteHappy Monday woofs & hugs <3,
~Bailey (Yep, I'm a girl!)
Ohhhhhh, those Swallowtails! How absolutely beautiful! Is that Joe Pye weed that they're on?
ReplyDeleteOur cat Seymour likes to go in the dryer! He has done it several times. Rudi is something...grabbing all the gusto she can.

I'm so glad you have had these days to cherish Rudi. And I just love that new bundle of energy. I suspect that Todd is going to be a dog with a sense of humor.
ReplyDeleteWe all need uneventful days like this Kim. I LOL seeing Todd in the dryer, he's something else. Rudi Rudi Rudi what can I say but hooray. Great butterfly shot.
ReplyDeleteYay for Rudi. That is one chubby toad.
ReplyDeleteKim,
ReplyDeleteIn these pictures Rudi looks very happy and hanging in there.
Todd is such a character.
I just love the picture of him in the dryer.
Was he trying to play with the toad?
That toad is big enough to be a full size ball.
I so wish we had more toads, they eat a ton of bugs and hopefully they will eat all those dreadful Stink bugs you get.
That picture made my day - I LOVE TODD!!
ReplyDeleteKim, I think Todd has to be the most adorable dog I have ever seen. I am so in love!! :-) I was over to visit your blog the other day, but my computer is giving me troubles, and at times things works, at times things don't. Now it is totally on the blink, so am sharing the office computer with hubby. Not fun! Anyway, a day of getting caught up can work wonders on a person. I love a day like that, when you topple into bed and feel as if you have gotten loads accomplished. And in between all that, you take time out to just relax and kick back. Sounds like a perfect day. We took a much needed day off from work yesterday and went on a little excursion to a castle along the Mosel River. I will blog about it as soon as I get my laptop back, which is where I have all the photos! It was a lovely day out, sunny and nice, and Cody got to join us. He was a perfect little gentleman among all those tourists! I was as proud as any grandma could be. Hope your day is going well. hugs, Debby
ReplyDeleteLove the butterflies..and that pup and the toad! Good news all around! :D
ReplyDeleteTodd is such a cutie!!! I think I heard mom say the hoo-man children were going to start a butterfly garden this year. I hope so - the cats get tired of me chasing them!
