In Search of Spring

Its been a relatively quiet week for us.  So, I'm sorry if you're looking for an exciting post because you won't get it here today!  That'll be next week when we take our trip to Tennessee.  I'm getting really excited about getting out of town!  To get my mind off of everything, I went in search of signs of spring this morning.  My daffodils are starting to come up!

Rudi (standing) and Sheba weren't interested anything that was growing.  They went in search of their own signs of spring.  I can always count on them--It's nice that they are willing to wait for their turn to roll on something...
We did have a tree fall in the last windstorm.  Today we'll try to get it cut up, save some of it for firewood and drag the rest back into the woods to eventually create a 'rabbitat.'  At least that's the plan anyway.  We'll first have to charge the chainsaw that we've not used since last year.  The only problem is, is that we don't seem to be able to find the charger.  I know I've seen it, and Carl knows he did as well.  Why is it that you can never find something that we've been literally tripping over for the last six months?
Too bad the dogs can't talk and tell us if they've seen it.  I have a feeling Rudi may know.
But even if she could, I think she's much too occupied looking for those signs of spring to roll on.
I hope you have an enjoyable weekend!

Glad you had an uneventful week. We can all use those.

  8. Kim,
Really cute pictures of Rudi and Sheba rolling around. I can't believe all your snow is gone and the Daffodils are starting to grow.
I'm sure we won't see this until late April. I hope you and Carl have a great trip to Tennessee and can relax.

  10. Same here Kim, we usually have to step over something all year long, but when we need it, can't seem to find it :)
The dogs look happy in the meadow, glad to be free from the snow around their feet I bet !
I hope the weather stays nice for your trip to our fair state, a get-a-way is always a welcomed change.
    I'm smiling at the pup named Pork-Chop, he's a keeper !
Hope you are enjoying your weekend.
    Hugs,

  12. There's nothing quite like a good roll around the grass for a Golden Retriever on a spring day! Wishing you all a good weekend.

  13. Quiet weeks are your charger, so I'm glad that you got one. Hope you find the one for the saw and can get that tree out of the way. It's kind of sad when one of the old giants hits the ground, isn't it? The dogs look lovely, and like they know that Spring is just around the corner, even if we're just the slightest bit unsure.

Have a safe trip when you go!

  16. Sorry, but I had to laugh about the charger. Our dogs are bringing up every stick out of the orchard and putting them at the back door. I'm so glad to see you have some sign of spring coming up..my roses have new leaves but no flowers in sight. We've got another cold night tonight here in Texas...and I was hoping it was all over with...at least we got some rain early this morning. God is good!

  17. That first picture is enough to encourage me to look for signs of spring myself! To see their happy, joyful, selves rolling in the spring-like day is what we humans want to do when the weather is perfect but we don't dare to show the same enthusiasm in public!

  18. Daffodils, lucky you!!! I think we're still a little while away from that here, although we did get quite a bit of rain today. We're expecting snow for tomorrow though, so I think our March yo-yo has begun. thaw, freeze, thaw, freeze, thaw, freeze, thaw...and then hold your breath when a week goes by with no freeze! Then we can hope for Daffodils :o)
