Lesson Learned?

When it's early in the morning, and all is quiet and peaceful and you have a puppy, there's just something that you should always do...
That's check on that puppy and find out just why it's so quiet and peaceful...
This morning Todd knocked over the flowerpot on the back porch and as he dug into the pot, all the dirt was thrown into the house..
And tracked through the house...
Lesson learned??
I don't think so...At least not for Todd!
I hope you're having a good weekend!

  2. It depends on who is suppose to learn the lesson. :-)

  3. The same could be said about my 2 year old daughter! Puppies and 2 year olds are very similar. Both are very cute and always are in trouble when it's quiet...unless they are sleeping!

  16. Way to go Todd!! You have passed the first exam on your road in Terrierhood :-) Yes, you have to be careful not to upset the hooomans too much with dirt in the house so once is probably enough, you can tick that one off the exam list now ;-) Next...how to dig a hole at the bottom of the garden! Thanks also so much for the lovely story of Riley. I can see the pain in her face but I also see the beautiful soul behind. I know by how your write about your rescues that we are kindred spirits. Bless you dear friend! I look forward to reading more about this girl.

  27. Just read about the arrival of Riley..I hadnt read your blog in a while, because I found it too heart-breaking reading when one of the dogs passed. It will be a year in Oct. that my 6 yr old golden passed, but it seems like just a few weeks.
I have mentioned it before, but wanted to tell you again how much I admire and am in awe of your generosity and courage. To give all of these needy and beautiful souls a loving home, and still have room in your house and heart for yet one more (and raise a puppy!), is truly inspiring and humbling.
AND, you still have a sense of humor in the ongoing antics of your new pup!!

  29. This is the first time, this week, that hubby and I dissolved into absolute uncontrollable laughter. Our giggles morphed into a good minute or two of solid chuckling. Todd, YOU ROCK!
I just love that little guy.
Thanks for brightening up our day...even more!

  30. Ha ha! Now the question is who learned the lesson? Will Todd stop gardening? Probably not. Will you keep planters out of his reach? Maybe.

My dogs taught me to put the remote up high and to put my knitting bag away before leaving the room. We still haven't completely learned not to leave goodies on the kitchen counter. We humans are slow learners.

  31. Oh how I would NOT have wanted to clean up that mess!

That puppy will certainly keep you young.

    He's such a doll. :)

  40. Oh my...too funny, since it's your mess! ha... Todd doesn't look a bit repentant either. My collie puppy girls wear me out at times. Either they are constantly on the go, searching for something to get into OR they are too quiet so I have to check them out anyway. Lucky for all pups that they are so darn cute!

  41. Puppies ---- so fun aren't they??????? Why was it that you wanted a puppy Kim???
    Me I didn't want a puppy.
She was sitting next in line to be put to sleep when I called and she (Angela) told me about Tinker and showed me a picture of her and told me she was 1 to 2 years old. She said she would be dead in a hour if I didn't want her!!! What could I say????

YES our Blogging friends are the best in the world!!!
