What Did He Notice the Most?

I was wearing Carl's garden shoes, my gray-flannel pajamas with pink hearts and mice on them, and an old over sized green sweater.  In one hand I had a bucket of bird-food, the other held a few feathers and my camera.  In the background there was the chaotic barking from the dogs inside the fence.  Not having any neighbors, for me, the scene was all perfectly normal.  To some, like the mail-man who had come to deliver a package, it may not have been.  When he left I glanced around and feeling a bit (okay, a lot) embarrassed, I wondered what he'd noticed the most and what was he thinking as he stood there with his broad smile at 9 o'clock this morning?

  1. Sounds perfectly natural to me and I bet he's seen a lot worse on his route. I've learned that bloggers will do anything for that perfect picture, so strange outfits or messes must wit till they're captured for the blog.

All of us wish all of you a most perfect holiday with just a sprinkle of snow to make things pretty.

  6. Hi there, I had to giggle at this-I think you would look adorable but can understand not wanting the mail man or any other delivery person to see you. It's like when you run to the store without makeup and looking less than perky, just wanting to grab one thing and then you see someone you know-yikes. Love seeing Todd.
My friend, I am so thankful for you; may you and yours have the most wonderful Christmas.
Sending lots of love your way.

  14. Don't you think we need to make a calendar of these glorious outfits? I have often wanted to do that with my barn buddies.

I have been known to wear my barn clothes to Wegmans. They don't seem to care (nor do I).

Todd sure is looking like a grown up.

  17. Those darn mail men come at the craziest times this time of year. Ours is 10AM one morning and 7PM the next day. You just never know. Oh, the stories the mailmen must have to share at the dinner table in the evening...
