A chuckle at things like this birth announcement sign in front of the church on our road. I think it was meant as a joke--What do you think?
We enjoyed a really nice dinner and evening with our friends and their family. When we got home, we were met by a very happy and exuberant Todd outside of his crate. I really thought I'd locked the door when I put him in.
Todd of course won't tell me if I actually did or not.
The mild weather allowed us to spend plenty outside with the dogs.

But now it's time to go back to work.
Which I think is okay with the dogs. I think they're missing getting their naps.

I hope your post Christmas weekend has been an enjoyable one too!!
Hi Kim, sounds wonderful, nice to be out and about with friends. Todd is so cute, that face.... Post Christmas sick here, yuk!!! Hugs Francine.
ReplyDeleteCrikey ...... that sign ..... too funny!! I'm sure Jesus would approve. He too liked a bit of humour, I'm sure. It's good to see everyone enjoying the time off.
ReplyDeleteI think Todd has become an escape artist. I know you love the time off, but aren't you glad it's over? The dogs look happy and tired.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a relaxing time....just what you need before you have to hit that peak traffic.
ReplyDeleteLove the sign!
Well I hope Todd passed this little test and didn't get into any trouble other than getting out of his crate. We've been finally leaving Millie and Walter free in the house for a few hours and recently was gone for 5 hours with no problem. They are lucky to have retired parents so they are rarely left alone.

"It's a boy" made me laugh! That's a great photo of Sheba - so flowing and gorgeous! I'm glad you had such a relaxing and warm weekend!
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry you have to go back to work. :( But I'm glad the weekend was so nice. :)
ReplyDeleteI think Todd might be making more plans to see if it will work next time too!
ReplyDeleteCute sign,, for "its a boy"
I hope your week starts out tomorrow.

Glad you had an enjoyable time and the crew too. We had a really good time here...I hope Todd hasn't worked out how to unlock his crate (although the little chap is clever..ummm I wonder Todd Houdini!) :-)
ReplyDeleteGlad you had a great Christmas
ReplyDeleteGorgeous photos of the 'crew', they all look as if they've had a lovely time as well. Pawfect!

ReplyDeleteYeah...!!...we enjoy it too....happy new year fot you and all those sweet dogs of yours
ReplyDeleteMoon and Copper love to sleep all morning after they've "gone" and had a few bites of food!..:)JP
ReplyDeleteHaha - I always think Harlow is glad when we go to work. When I'm home she follows me everywhere and gets to the point where she throws herself down on the ground for a nap. I think we keep her up.
ReplyDeleteDid Todd leave any evidence of the fun he had while he was out?
Monty and Harlow
sweet babies! yup, everyone needs peace and quiet to recuperate.
ReplyDeleteLittle Kali took only 15 minutes to escape the first time she was put in a crate. The peeps wound up getting a tough metal crate for her-it was from Kong.
ReplyDeleteWonderful photos ! I bet Todd undid the latch cheeky boy lol some how I wouldn't put it past him lol ! Yeah getting back to work is a bummer thankfully Papa doesn't have to back till next week ! Thanks for sharing glad you all had a good Christmas . Wishing you all Happy New Year !
ReplyDeleteIt's cold and rainy here so everyone is playing with the new toys. So far they're all still intact, though Sydney would like to change that.
ReplyDeleteSeeing my girls happy and TIRED (love the "tired Cricket photo) is as rewarding as a glass of wine to me.
ReplyDeleteCricket always makes me smile
