One stop was a 9 o'clock appointment for Charlie and Todd at the groomers. Charlie has a thick double (non-shedding) coat that keeps him really warm. It also mats easily and traps in moisture that can irritate his skin. For this reason, he goes to the groomer about 3 times a year. I can never decide if I like him best "before or after."
Todd just needed some "tidying up" on his coat that I could probably do myself. But I decided to take him in anyway. We arrived to a bit of a flustered groomer who told me her assistant was home sick. With 8 dogs to be groomed that day, I volunteered to just take Todd home. He wasn't too happy about getting his nails trimmed, but he was so excited when we left that I think that if he could have done a somersault, he would have!
Today our winter weather advisory was discontinued because our temps were well above freezing and are expected to stay there. Once again, no snow for us.... But that doesn't stop the fun and games.
But then every day is fun and games for Todd, and Buddy too!
I like both for different reasons. What a cutie!
ReplyDeletesuch cuties. love that instigator, todd. :) charlie doesn't even look like the same dog. :)
ReplyDeleteYea for Todd. Rather like being released from school early! Charlie looks handsome either way. Love that icy blue eye.
ReplyDeleteCharlie is the one on the left - I have no idea who you are trying to palm off on us in the right picture...
ReplyDeleteCrikey ..... I can't decide either. He looks so different. If he ever robbed a bank he sure wouldn't need a balaclava. Just a trim, aye??
ReplyDeleteI love seeing the dogs romping and playing. Hope the temperatures stay above freezing.
ReplyDeleteLucky Todd. He dodged that bullet, except for the clipping. Love seeing the dogs having fun. We think Charlie is cute either way....though, he looks less than impressed, himself.
ReplyDeleteI like Charlie's before picture he looks like the Shaggy Dog. As always I a big fan of Todd, he is just too cool for the fur stealer.
ReplyDeleteAroo to you,
Sully
That has to be hard for Charlie to have a coat like that! I bet he felt a lot lighter after his cut. Todd has to be relieved with just a paw-ticure.

Charlie must be nice and warm when it is cold out! What a cute little furball! I could watch the dogs frolic and play all day long!! It makes one smile just to see that! We are in the midst of a snowstorm here...not fun. Happy Monday to you Kim!
ReplyDeleteI like Charlie both ways, he is a cutie. And so is Todd! All your dogs are adorable.. We had another inch of snow overnight and now it is raining. I hope you have a happy Monday and week ahead!
ReplyDeleteI like Charlie both ways - it's hard to pick a favorite! We had a weekend of rain, and thick fog yesterday. ....but, by the afternoon I was back in a t-shirt and running a/c in the car. That's AZ for you!
ReplyDeleteMonty and Harlow
Another Scottie saved from those evil clutches of theft.
ReplyDeleteWe use a mobile groomer that parks in front of the house. When the dogs see it they all head to the back of the house.
ReplyDeleteCharlie pulls off the good looks either way. I'm thinking he would be a little more comfortable at least in the warmer months trimmed up a bit. Todd, that rascal, I guess he lucked out this time. His day is a coming.
ReplyDeletecharlie's ears look longer when he's trimmed! a furoptical illusion?? LOLOL!
ReplyDeleteyou'd never know it was a 'senior' house the way they all play with puppy todd and each other. how i love it!
have a great week dearest bean! xoxo♥
Awww, Charlie looks adorable both ways! Lucky for Todd! BOL!

ReplyDeleteCharlie look good both ways. I would love to hug him. Todd is such a cutie pie...and Buddy looks so sweet.
ReplyDeleteCharlie looks precious in the "before"...but all look like they enjoyed the fun outside. We have sooooo much, Moon and Copper can't play!...:)JP

I saw a video by a clicker trainer who taught her dog to do a somersault. So Todd could learn!
ReplyDeleteIt sure does look like your pack is very happy and enjoying winter! I hope that you are too.

You deserve a medal for taking Charlie to the groomers three times a year. Taking thse two is so traumatic we're thinking of becoming 'self groomers' !
ReplyDeleteRarely do I read one of your posts where I don't have a huge grin on my face. Pure delight in your photos . . . love it!
ReplyDeleteCharlie is a handsome fella isn't he. How many dogs do you have now?
ReplyDeleteI vote for the before picture. I love shaggy dogs.
