The past week was a full one that began with my trip to my nephew's wedding. With a few hours before the wedding, I did manage to squeeze in a sunrise walk on Virginia Beach.
Mornings on the beach are much different than during the day when the crowds are there.
It's peaceful and serene with only the sound of the birds as they fly past and the sound of the waves crashing on the shore. I'll admit that I'm not one to go barefoot, but who doesn't love that feeling of the grainy sand against your feet as you walk across the beach?
Sunrise on the beach is a special time and I've a feeling that the lady below agrees with that.
I think that when given the chance everyone should experience it at least once.
All too soon, and before I realized it, the crowds of people began to arrive, and it was time to leave and get ready for the wedding.
In my next post I'll tell you about the wedding that took place in "Isle of Wight County" at the historic St Luke's Church, which is the oldest church of English origin in America.
THANKS for stopping by, I've missed visiting with you! ...And you didn't think I'd not post at least one photo of a dog (Josh) ....
Or of Todd, did you?
I felt as if I WAS at the shore, thanks for taking me there, glad that you posted some dogs as well.phyllis
ReplyDeleteHello Kim, I love going to the beach. Especially to be there watching the sunrise, lovely captures! The church looks beautiful. And of course Josh and Todd are adorable. Gorgeous images. Happy Sunday, have a great new week ahead!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a beautiful beach. Welcome back and hope you had a nice time away.
ReplyDeleteWho doesn't like walking barefoot on the beach?
ReplyDeleteSomeone who just stepped on a now angry crab. Well, you asked.
I agree, everyone should watch the sunrise at the beach, it's just too awesome. Also walking barefoot in the sand, nothing like it!
ReplyDeleteCool old church!
Josh and Todd - looking good! (As usual)
Looks like there's a lot of folk keen to see the sunrise and get the grit between their toes.
ReplyDeleteBeaches are always best viewed alone or with family and friends only. Sunrises and sunsets are nice they are usually the coolest of the day.
ReplyDeleteThanks for taking us with you, Kim. It looked lovely. ♥
I enjoyed going to the shore with you as I burn too easily to enjoy it in person. Miss it though, very much!
ReplyDeleteA quiet walk along the beach in the morning or evening is fantastic. The only way SHE enjoys the beach anyway. Hope your batteries have been charged sufficiently.
ReplyDeleteHope this visit to your nephew's wedding has given you a good break and recharged your batteries...I'm sure the crew have been looking after things.
ReplyDeleteGlad you got some quiet time on the beach. Lovely old church.
ReplyDeleteIt was good to see your post and my buddy Todd.
