Another week where I've gotten **nothing** much done at home. I am sure that I've mentioned before that I am a political and news junkie -- And back in July, even though I have no paid vacation left, I decided to take the day after the election off work so I could stay up way too late and watch the returns and the day after news reports. And that was exactly what I did. Even after I'd gone to bed on Tuesday night, I woke up a few times to get the updates. There was no shortage of them, that's for sure. I was glued to the TV all day Wednesday.
~The flag in our town center on Thursday~
As always, our groomer Irina, did a great job on Max and Todd. You may recall that last time Todd was groomed, he jumped off the table, and when Irina caught him, he bit her forearm. This time Irina said more than once how cooperative and good Todd was. **I'll mention here that I gave him .5 mgs of melatonin before we left home. I guess it worked....
~Todd says, "you did what?" |
By Friday, I was feeling a bit saturated by all the news and turned off the TV and did a few things around the house. I even took some time to enjoy what was a perfect and blue-sky-day outside .
It's now Saturday and even though the votes are still being counted, I'm so glad we at least know what the majority of the ballot results are. We are worn out!
Hi! I’m tired out from all election coverage, I was so focused on the outcome I didn’t get much done. I’m glad tomorrow I can just focus on the sunshine and warm weather!
ReplyDeleteIf you are happy so am I for everyone up North. It seems to be so complicated, and even Alaska still has votes to be counted. And the V P, what an inspiration for every lady who aspires to be in politics or the Justice System. Wait for the next 4 years and see where Kamala Harris will be. Hugs to you all, from a wet night down here.
ReplyDeleteHello,
ReplyDeleteI think they said it would take longer to count the votes this election, PA was not allowed to count mail in votes until after the election. I am glad it is over now, I just wish for peace and unity. The dogs are look happy, cute photos. Take care, enjoy your day!
This past week was mentally exhausting, Kim. I disconnected for an entire day just to refresh!!...:)jp
ReplyDeleteLiving in PA, I have felt extra stress because of the importance of this state in the election. Yes, there are blue skies today both literally and figuratively. I slept well last night.
ReplyDeleteThey even found some hanging chad left over from 2000.
ReplyDeleteI'm smiling!
ReplyDeletehere's to unity of our broken country and civility.
Scot and Max look great. even if Todd doesn't know why he was so well behaved this time! lol! xo
It sure has been a long and taxing week on everyone but it's good that now it's basically over.
ReplyDeleteI hope you are pleased with your new president and that he will give lots of good trade deals to the UK. It has been interesting to watch the results unfold from the UK.
ReplyDeleteMy dogs are so happy that there will be dogs in the White House again.
ReplyDeleteWe have to agree with Sue's comment. Every home, even the White House, should have the honor of a canine resident.
ReplyDeleteTodd looks great and we are happy that Max was a good boy.
The last four years have taken their toll on our country. We all look forward to any and all efforts to bring peace and unity.

It has been a stressful few days for the world. May you get a much deserved rest!
ReplyDeleteSounds like you were busy! Dad was watching the TV for the last several days. I must say, he's getting rather grumpy after seeing all that mess! GW made him go outside and mow the lawn and putter around in the garage. It was too nice a day to sit in front of the TV!
ReplyDeleteWe were glued to the US election, and had the same friends around who we joined with a couple of weeks previously to watch New Zealand's election unfold... albeit with much less drama!
ReplyDeleteNow there is much work to do, to learn to listen and act with care for all in the States, as well as the good of the planet. A huge task. For which we wish you well.
And by now you are smiling with a YES face!
ReplyDeleteLong week, decision in place!
Let the bells keep ringing . ..
Did you see the YouTube of Paris . . .
Ringing of the Bells of congratulations for a Biden/Harris America!
(Are you feeling better!)
Hi friends! Ojo here! You're looking lovely in the fall sunshine! And a nap sounds like the best of all!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, whatta a week! I wasn't near any media (I was in the desert) but I was still stressed out! Now, I am worrying a bit about what's going to happen next. Ah well.
ReplyDeleteWe watched some and then turned channels...Hallmark Movies are great!
ReplyDeleteUmm, Todd mate, you might need to start inspecting your foods like I do so the peep can't slip you anything...
ReplyDeleteI am a news junkie as well, and wow, what a crazy week that was. Now it seems like the crazy is going to continue for a bit. I tell myself sometimes I should just shut it off, because it all worries me....but I don't like not knowing either.
ReplyDeleteThank goodness we have our dogs to help keep us grounded, right?
