Easter Sunday. We are cruising right through April and spring and hoping that the weather will finally stay warm. Spring is showing up more and more every day. This twinleaf flower (below) opened for the first time a few days ago, and already a little pollinator found it!
Our newest arrival, Lily has settled in with our crew.

Our biggest concern has been Lily crying when she's not with us. A video of that is below - Lily is in the other room, and that's Daisy in the video. We're not sure why she's crying, when she must know that we're nearby, and she's free to come and be with us. It happens at random times during the night or day, and we're not sure what the trigger may be. Any thoughts?
However, the good news is, is that the more time that has passed, Lily is not crying as much as she was at first. But she has days when she does cry, and all we can do is call or go to her and reassure her, which seems to help. Lily is a really sweet girl, she is always eager for and loves attention, and she's right up front for treats and her meal too, and of course she'll do what we ask her to do.
Lily really loves joining the crew outside for the daily game of ball -- That's her on the right.
and then she enjoys relaxing in the cool grass afterwards. Lily seems happy.

And we're happy that this sweet girl is part of our household. ❤
All I can think is maybe she is missing someone?
ReplyDeleteYou all be safe and God bless.
Does Lily have poor eyesight? Our old cat Felicity cried, when she didn't know where she was, and as soon as I talked to her and carried her to a safe place she was better. She does sound lost,I'm sure that will settle in time, her lovely face and smile are so endearing.
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweetheart! ❤️
ReplyDeletePerhaps she does miss someone from her former life, or was confined to a room as a punishment by her previous owner, and she still remembers it. Poor Lily - I do hope she cheers up soon, she's such a lovely girl.
ReplyDeleteHello,
ReplyDeletePretty flowers and I love all the furbabies. They are all cuties.
I was thinking Lily may just miss someone too. I hope she stops her crying. Take care, enjoy your day and the new week ahead.
something is defintely bothering her, the eyesight could be that nancy mentioned or she is grieving, all i know for sure is my heart is hurting listening to her cry...
ReplyDeleteWe're glad to hear that Lily is doing so well in your home. Maybe her hearing isn't very good so she can't hear you when you aren't closer to her.
ReplyDeleteMaybe put a rag with some calming essential oils on it in the room she is in. Sometimes that helps my dogs. Also my gsd whines when she is anxious so it might be just a thing that will eventually gets better when she finally feels totally safe.
ReplyDeleteShe is missing someone or something maybe a special soothing toy or blanket. Chance used to cry like that when we left him alone.
ReplyDeleteLily looks like a sweetheart!
ReplyDeleteMaybe she is missing being close to someone, like you. She may be used to snuggling with someone. Hopefully she will work through it with your love. ♥
ReplyDeleteI see in one of the photos she is snugged up to another dog...or just touching another person/animal. She may need another warm body or soul beside her or the breathing even of another.
ReplyDeleteIt does sound like terrible anxiety and fear of abandonment. Glad to see it is abating a bit. Hopefully, that trend will continue.
ReplyDeleteWhat wonderful pictures full of happy faces! I suspect time will heal darling Lily's anxiety. With such friends and so much love, the heartrending episodes will eventually be left behind.
