Winding down on Wednesday!

My Wednesday started out with a moment of "cuteness" when 3 young raccoons and their Mom were crossing the road in front of me this morning. They took their time and were totally oblivious to me and that I was in a hurry. After they'd gotten across I honked the horn to scare them away from the road so they wouldn't venture back--I really love the wild life and always worry about these young families.

It has been a busy start to the week both at home and at work. However, it's all winding down now as I'm done with work for the week! Bubba has his second session of swimming on Thursday and I'm excited to see how he does. Our friend Sid is also coming to visit us from Pennsylvania for a couple of days. She'll be here until Saturday and then my youngest brother comes on Sunday to spend a week with us--I can't wait! I really enjoy having company, but why is there always so much preparation beforehand?

Yeah, I know what you mean about preparation for company...I guess we just want to make sure our guests are comfortable!

Have fun and enjoy the company.

That is the most awsome photo ever!
Precious- no other word to describe it.
I have noticed that you capture some of the most amazing photos in your world at Golden Pines.
It's a magical place, yes we know it is.
Your week is winding down and that must feel so good. We still have hurdles climb over- as our week is only mid way-.
You asked why so much preparation, and I think it is because in our minds we invision a dream of how we wish for our time with our loved ones to be,,,, and we want to meet our own expectactions.
I really think our guest accept us as we are.
Have a wonderful time with Sid and your younger brother and we wish lots of luck for sweet Bubba to keep his strength up as he goes swimming.
You are doing all you can to help him. Again,, we think you have wings.
    love-

  5. Cute, cute, cute raccoons! I brake for squirrels, those idiot rodents who dart one way then the next when crossing a road. One never knows where they'll end up, hopefully not under my car! Enjoy your company!

  14. racoons are the cutest!!!! I adore their little hands and the way they work those cute fingers. I have always wanted one as a pet but hubby won't let me.
In fact, our animal shelter had a litter of baby possums and I almost adopted one, tiny as a rat, with his little tail curling around my finger...again, he didn't let me.
    Enjoy your company!!!

  23. Kim,
Love the raccoon pics. Glad you have them and not us though, because they really destroy our garden. Haven't seen any yet this year.
I hope you have a relaxing time with your company.
I know what you mean about cleaning before company arrives, its a real bummer.

  24. Sounds like you're having a wonderful albiet busy time!
I think you always get busy before and after company, but, somehow you don't seem to mind as much - even though typically you're totally beat after they leave!

Have fun with the kin folk!
