The pictures aren't the greatest because the girls were hard to spot in the fog and the tall grass that matches them almost perfectly.
I also looked at the progress of the home that's being built in back of us. It's going to be a lovely home with a 3 car garage, a lot of windows for natural light and 3 sliding glass doors in the back to enjoy the sweeping views. But it doesn't look like they've done a lot of work on it the last few weeks.
It leaves me to wonder which will be completed first, the new home or the roof on our barn? Should I even ask?
It's nice that the neighbors are taking their time. :-) I know you were worried about losing the field for walks, it seems like the neighbors are very accommodating.
ReplyDeleteStill no luck on the barn, huh? What are you going to do?
That does look like it's going to be a lovely house! I'd put money on your roof being done first though :)
ReplyDeletethat is an interesting window placement (second in from the right)... would be interested to know how many floors it is over...
ReplyDeleteoh we are having the exact same kind of day here! foggy and warm! but I am sewing!!!!! then a walk!! love the pictures of the dogs in the field......xxxx
ReplyDeletePerhaps M'Ongoose knows a good roofer....
ReplyDeleteThe girls look very happy in their field that matches them!! Have a good Sunday!
awww. you and that barn roof. a cursed thing!
ReplyDeletePapa is taking Miggs for a walk right now , it is wet from all the rain we had and getting cold out . Lovely photos ! Oh to be honest I prefer an old Victorian farm house or ranch house to the big monstrosities they build now a days ! I hope they get it all done for them soon though they must be excited to get all moved ! Glad to hear all is going well with you and your clan . Have a good day !
ReplyDeleteThe Invisible dogs!
ReplyDeleteI am pulling for your barn roof to be done first. And I just love the camo photos of the dogs in the field. I also like to hike in plain sight when MOM and I hike through the woods.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Goose
Hi Kim
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful morning for you, Sheba and CarrieAnne to go for a nice hillside walk. Such beautiful photos and especially the last one is my favorite.
The home that is being built- does look like it will be such a nice home. We hope your barn roof gets done first.
love

I love walks like this...the joy the dogs get from the adventure.
ReplyDeleteThat's a big house!! glad I don't have to do the windows :)
No snow! Nice and mild I'll bet and perfect for dog walking.
ReplyDeleteI think I would call to find out at least if the builder is having any financial difficulties. Love the last photo of the girls. So pretty.
ReplyDeleteLove these shots! It's all so mystical.
ReplyDeleteWhat a huge house!
ReplyDeleteMaybe they decided on a last minute design change.
Enjoyed seeing your dogs. I think they love hiding in the grass.
Have a blessed day!
They probably took sometime off for the holidays! Perhaps a little vacation...especially if the house is as big as it is...they need to wait on things on order for interior...cabinets, flooring, the electrical and plumbing have to be completed before any insulation and Sheetrock go in...:)JP
ReplyDeleteHi Kim, Your day looks damp and cold. It is just plain cold here today. Loved the photos-what a lovely house-so many windows to clean though. Hope you have a great evening my friend.
ReplyDeleteHugs, Noreen & Hunter
Foggy and damp, love to see the dogs enjoying the run..... big new houise......Blessings Francine.
ReplyDeleteFun in the fog! Looks like the neighbors are putting up quite a house.
ReplyDeleteLove the pictures of the dogs in the tall grass. :)
ReplyDeleteI sure hope it is the roof before the house! What a nice walk you had with the girls.
ReplyDeleteCindy
Truly cruddy weather!
ReplyDeleteDoes it make you wonder just how many jobs he has tied up? If he fell off a roof or something, I would think he would have the courtesy of letting you know so you could have someone else repair that roof before it's worse.
We're still waiting to hear from the man who took a MAJOR part from our central unit SIX years ago to find us another one!
I am kind of hoping the roof is finished first. What is it with contractors and workers today/ They so claim there is no work but when they get one, they don't even bother to finish it. How sad.
ReplyDeleteLooks like the house will be gorgeous. Have a great week. Ana
oh dear me, I so feel your pain with renovations. Dh has only just got the laminate laid in the basement. Wondering if it will be another six months before he gets the baseboard up!!!
ReplyDeleteGill
The pups are hidden in that golden field! Wow - that looks like one beautiful home. I hope your new neighbours will be wonderful too!
ReplyDeletexo Catherine
I love the Golden's in the field.
ReplyDeleteSam
I love how the Goldens blend in with the golden grass. Misty, beautiful weather! I'd bet on the barn roof, myself.
ReplyDeleteWoof! Woof! The photos are actually great. LOVE that the fields blend in with their golden fur. walking on fog is beautiful experience, we've done it many times living upcountry (2500 ft above sea level). Lots of Golden Woofs, Sugar
ReplyDeletegoldens in gold. they truly are almost invisible. like lions.
ReplyDeletei'm especially fond of foggy days. we don't have for very often so it is unique when we do.
holding good thoughts for your barn roof. my own roofing project still pending... second estimate this morning. weather not cooperating.
but of course! LOL. xo
What a nice walk, hope the the barn is first.
ReplyDeleteSounds like the girls had a lot of fun running, playing in the fog. What a lovely day to take a walk. Glad you had a great time together.
ReplyDeleteYou couldn't match the color of the dog... with the color of the grass... that close if you hand-mixed the palette. Simply glorious pictures!! Thank you for sharing!
ReplyDelete--Andrea
XOXOXO
What a beautiful place to walk!! The house looks like a nice one, but I sure do hope that your roof gets done first!! I am not sure how to contact you about this, but my friend in Connecticut has two goldens that are seven years old...looks to me like a bonded pair...Is there a rescue they can contact in CT? Thanks so much!! Jeanne, Chloe and LadyBug
ReplyDeleteThose pictures of the girls in the grass are great! They would make a good jig saw puzzle. hehehe That house sure is big!
ReplyDeleteHowdy Mates, wowza, looks like you live in a beautiful part of the world. We loved your photos. Looks like a grreat place for a walk. No worries, and love, Stella and Rory
ReplyDeleteThose fields look so inviting and I do enjoy an occasional foggy day.
ReplyDeleteWe are getting some snow today but it is suppose to get warm again...whatever! I just have to go with the flow :)
Hope your barn roof project gets back on track soon. I worry about ongoing damage without things being properly enclosed.
That's going to be a lovely house…I hope your roof wins!
ReplyDeleteThe dogs are beautiful!!
I love the color in these pictures!!!
