The weekend began with a trip to the airport and as much time as it takes to drop someone off, I became a "single parent."

So far, it's going pretty well and I'm keeping up with everything. But does it matter that I accidentally left Todd outside during a storm?
|
~Todd just before a storm~ |
Or that I forgot to feed the lovely Ms. Yellow on Saturday morning?
|
~Ms. Yellow half starved~ |
That we're out of dog treats?
And that I didn't remember to prop the bathroom door open, and Sunny got stuck in there while I was gone...
What's important is that all the cats
And the dogs are "all present and accounted for." Or are they?

Because that may change later this afternoon after lunch with family visiting from out of town.
Stay tuned...
Is that bird male? Does he want to go out with me? Anyway, Todd is a Scottie and can take the storm in stride. I'm more worried about Yellow who didn't get to eat.
ReplyDeleteThey all look very capable. I'm thinking everyone will be alright. ;-)
ReplyDeleteMaybe the little kitten will have a new home?? I always heave a huge sight of relief when we are back from a vet visit, they ( any one of our cats) cry all the way there, and are so quiet all the way home.
ReplyDeleteI know how that goes. Any little disturbance in the normal routine throws the whole rest of the routine into ruin. Thinking about you!
ReplyDeleteoh, my! good luck to you and the crew!
ReplyDeleteYou sure have your hands full. It makes you appreciate how much your husband does to balance the load.
ReplyDeleteWow!!!! So glad all counted for, all is good at Golden Pines.Hugs Francine.
ReplyDeleteAll's well that ends well. And what happens at Golden Pines while your husband is away, stays at Golden Pines.
ReplyDeleteOh, Golly, poor Todd, poor Sunny! How long will you be a single parent? I hope all goes well!
ReplyDeleteCan't count the times I've been through Dulles Airport! We had a huge thunderstorm this morning, but at least we were inside! Just enjoy an animal weekend...
ReplyDeleteThat's a big family to keep accounted for!
ReplyDeleteLook at the Hummer . . .
ReplyDeleteHappy everyone us accounted for . . . NOW!
Looks like everyone took everything in stride. Hope you all have a blessed week, Kim! ♥
ReplyDeleteLife is complicated enough when you have help. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteI am glad everyone is accounted for.. so far!

You do have a HUGE family and trying to keep everyone happy is a big job!! Good luck making it as a single parent til your husband gets back!! Happy Monday!
ReplyDeleteAww...I'm sure Todd was fine out in the storm, he's a tough little guy ;)
ReplyDeleteHello Kim, it is tough remembering everything. It looks like everyone is happy and content. I love the hummer shot. Happy Monday, enjoy your new week!
ReplyDeleteAHA!!! TRUE CONFESSIONS!
ReplyDeletei'm thinking that from now on i will always add carl's name to my admiring compliments of the well oiled machine that is golden pines!
he's quiet. and behind the scenes. but apparently much in demand for his expertise! LOLOLOL!!!!
GO LITTLE BEAN! i'm thinking the starving kitty will survive. :) XOXO♥
Let me tell you about my mistakes, better yet, let my retired husband tell you about my mistakes. His list is so much longer.
ReplyDeleteEverybody seems to have made it through with no bad affects, so no problem.
hunker down single Mom, you'll be fine - the Goldens will keep you laughing and Todd will guard the plantation - and the cats just don't give a shit as long as you feed them!!!
ReplyDeleteIt will all be OK Kim, the Goldens, and George (we hope) are so laid back that very little will worry them - as long as their food is on the table at the right time ! Sheba's face says "Don't worry Mom", but we had to laugh at Sunny's back - it seems to radiate disapproval !
ReplyDeleteOh dear, being alone can be tough at times! I'm so used to having my Darling here now that I seem to have forgotten how much I used to handle alone! But don't worry, it will all work out and you other half will be back before you know it :)
ReplyDeleteLast night Miss Sydney wouldn't come in at last call. She's been catching moles lately and thought she was on the trail of one. I had to send Rob down with the flashlight to drag her inside.
