Normal -- What Do You Think?

Bright sun and colder temperatures arrived over the weekend.  The holidays are in our rear view mirror, so it's back to our normal and hopefully quiet schedule,
Of course with Todd, every day is a chance at an adventure and mischief -- No day is really a quiet or a normal one for him.
While I was running a few errands, it was such a nice day, and with a little extra time, I decided to take a more scenic route on the way home.  I'm not sure about you, but I don't think there's anything "normal" about the photo below. Is it a grave site of a favorite and loved cow or bull?  With only the camera on my phone, it's hard to see that the cow isn't something from a toy store, and looks "custom-made."   I'll admit that I was surprised to see it, because it's a little (?) unusual, and not something I've ever seen before. What do you think?

  1. The cow looks homemade - perhaps a beloved pet that the person fashioned in her likeness. Some kind of awesome in a sad way.

  2. i have two graves for my old mares in my back pasture, but i probably wouldn't put a statue of a horse on them. but i sort of think it is quaint. :)

  5. Good to see a photo of George again - he looks so contented. Todd as ever on patrol - nothing will get past him !
As to the cow - well perhaps it's a calf under there - almost a family pet ?

  6. It must have been a very special cow/bull to make a statue for the grave. It's good that Todd keeps you on your toes. You never know what he will get into on any given day.

  7. I think it is touching
that someone valued and loved an animal
enough to do something extra special....

  8. Most unusual. Not the sort of thing you'd want in the yard if you had a terrier because it would be nonstop barking at the mini cow.

  9. Never seen that before that is odd could be a beloved farm animal or a prized bull or cow layed to rest . Todd is such a cutie pie and must keep you on your toes every day lol ! Thanks for sharing , Happy New Year .

  10. That is odd. We once saw a model church in a grave yard...the original had burned down in a bush fire.

We think Todd always has normal days.

  11. I think some beloved pet is buried there, be it a cow or a dog, hamster, or even a goat. Maybe the cow is a toy and a child placed it on the grave? It takes a huge amount of digging to bury a large animal, so I'm guessing it's a grave for a smaller creature. What an unusual sight.

  12. Very unusual for sure, but it must some special meaning to someone for them to have gone to the trouble of putting a cross there and having that cow made. Maybe a family cow that died?

  15. That little cow must have touched someones heart, when they needed it the most. We have a new baby cousin who is called a golden, our mom is very jealous and is constantly talking about her. we are tired of listening to her. stella rose
