An unexpected snow day closed my office today. With no favorite snow day (junk) food, we made due with relatively healthy food instead.

With this unexpected day at home, I had plans at the start of it to get a few things done. But in the end, I didn't really do anything.

Todd never has days like I've had. A Scottie stays busy and is sharp in any weather!
And a Scottie never forgets. Todd was back at the same spot later, trying to catch the hidden trespasser!
While Todd and the other dogs were enjoying the snow, I was noticing how it had made everything look so fresh and clean. But it's going to quickly disappear but not before freezing rain makes it all turn to ice. Tomorrow a predicted 30 degree warm up and rain is in the forecast. We'll be back to the mud and mess. It was nice while it lasted.

Todd, we saw someone who looked just like you at the beach yesterday near Santa Barbara. Like you, he was busy and interested in everything!

We are getting lots of snow tomorrow. No real complaints here since we are way below average for this time of year.
ReplyDeleteAnd we still have no snow here. Only 5 inches this winter. This week could even hit upper 60s!!!! How we would love to romp in the snow with Todd!!!

Awww . . . a snow day . . .
ReplyDeleteAnd Todd is still at it . . .
What fun he Is!
What strange weather we are having as well. Never know from one day to the next and neither does the weatherman/woman.
ReplyDeleteMohawk, I'm a bird watcher also. Unfortunately all the birds I watch are female like me. I'll send you a card and you can give it out to the unattached male birds there. It was 82 and sunny here in Arizona and I'm desperate. Have a male bird fly down soon, pullleeeeze.
ReplyDeleteI do miss a cat on the inside looking out ...
ReplyDeleteYep, that nice clean snow does turn out messy, doesn't it? Nice to have a day off though, wasn't it?
We warmed up and our snow turned to muck. Ugh

Looks so attractive with all that COOL, we had 33.6 here today ( Celsius), and Mohawk, my favourite.
ReplyDeleteThe snow is indeed beautiful. We have had only a sprinkling this winter. And, Gus really loves to play in the frosty stuff. Maybe, there is still a chance for him!
ReplyDeleteThinking of Jake. Sure hoping his treatment eases his spinal narrowing. Poor. sweet boy. Maybe the acupuncturist can help him like your boy Gus.

I luffs the picture of Mowhawk hunting from inside in the warm...very sensible.
ReplyDeleteStay safe and warm

Hello, it is a mess this morning. Ice on top of yesterday's snow. Your Todd is a great watchdog. Mohawk is cute watching the birds from the window. Stay warm and safe. Happy Tuesday, enjoy your day!
ReplyDeleteAfter 3 days of record breaking cold we are getting a snow day today. Have a foot in the forecast and we live to far from our offices to risk it.
ReplyDeleteHope it stays pretty for a few days so you can enjoy it!
i'm so glad you "didn't do anything really"
ReplyDeleteexcept for letting a herd of dogs in and out more than once! and then drying them off and then getting food for everyone ready ... everyone human and furry! and then ... well ...
when do you ever NEVER do anything really? LOLOL!!!
be careful darling bean. ICE. not a good thing ever.
XOXO♥
Todd is such a pretty color!!!! It's unusual for a Scottie, love it! Isn't it a bummer when there is a snow day and you ONLY have HEALTHY food!? UGH!! catchatwithcarenandcody
ReplyDeleteIs Todd trying to get another mole or vole?
ReplyDeleteWe get nothing done if it snows or storms here. Don't know why that is, exactly! But I come to a halt.
It's true we Scotties are very hard headed.
ReplyDeleteAroo to you,
Sully
I love terriers so much for their persistence. Never let an intruder get the upper hand :-)
ReplyDeleteSnow ! We had the worst day of the winter so far. A thin coating of frost on the windscreen.
ReplyDeleteSunny's stand alone mysticism makes a wonderful photo.
we got some snow on sunday and we loved it also. stella rose
ReplyDeleteIt is beautiful when it first falls. And, we scotties remember EVERYWHERE we've EVER seen a cat!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a cozy snow day, love the pictures. Blessings Francine.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like Todd is on the ball...:)JP
ReplyDeleteI love how new snow makes the whole world look so clean and crisp! I'm glad you have Todd on the job so you can take it easy every now and then!
ReplyDeleteWhile it lasted is right Kim.. We have not had any snow,, but they say it always snows on the daffodils,, we will see what Mother Nature sends to us.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if I saw the moon last night,,

Yes, mud and mess. We're having that down here now. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you had a restful snow day.
We have had a very mild and wet winter so far, nice when you get a day off work due to snow though! X
ReplyDeleteThat's no fun...having no junk food around when you need it! We had a LOT of snow yesterday and quite a bit more today so I'm about done with it for awhile. It is not supposed to stick around as we are warming up also! That Todd...always on the job...patrolling his territory! Hope all is well with you!
ReplyDeletelol offices never close because of snow in Montreal, or any other major city in Canada, except Charlottetown, PEI where they wait for a storm to have moved through before clearing the roads. Lucky Islanders! We only dream of snow days in the rest of the country!
ReplyDeleteWhenever I say I wish it would snow in Perth my hubby (who is from the UK) said snow looks good on Christmas cards but in reality it can be a darned nuisance.
ReplyDeleteLove the one of the cat at the window. He looks so alert but it's good he's inside and the birds are outside.
