Ending Quietly

While Todd worked on his spring gardening and landscaping...
I was off to the vet with the lovely Ms. Yellow who hasn't been feeling well.  My "usual" vet wasn't working, so I saw the young vet.  I think that she's kind and caring and there is no doubt she has the potential to be a really good vet.  But her inexperience, not just with Ms. Yellow, but another dog she saw of ours a few months ago showed.  I left the office with several prescriptions and no real answers about why she's not eaten since Wednesday, and only a vague plan.  Today has seen little improvement, so I'll take her to see my "usual" vet on Monday if there is still no change.
The holistic vet came to see Josh and Jake, Someone else stopped by to do some "manicures" for a few of the dogs.
~Josh, totally relaxed after acupuncture and cold laser therapy~
Its been a really busy weekend, and I could have used another day between Saturday and Sunday.  But it has ended quietly, just as I like it to.

**Whale update**
Unfortunately, one of the Orca Whales on our town's water tower didn't make it. (see previous post)  I guess you really can't keep whales in captivity.  Or maybe it was just too cold. However, there are plans to re-inflate him very soon.  I wonder if the Town's Mayor is going climb up there again and do it?

  1. Poor Ms Yellow, I hope you get more satisfactory answers tomorrow.
Josh seems to be tired from his treatment, I hope it just relaxed him to sleep!
    Silly whale stuff!

  5. Hope that your regular vet can make the lovely Ms. Yellow well again. Good to see how contented Josh and Sheba look, but what is Todd hoping to find - has he lost a bone !

  7. Hoping Miss Yellow will feel better very soon.

Getting very concerned about that whale though...you can never trust an inflatable whale these days...perhaps the mayor needs to be inflated and sat up there instead!

  9. Here's hoping the appetite returns and you don't have another vet trip. That's deflated the Orca experiment.

  11. Good morning, I am sorry your kitty does not feel well. Josh looks so comfy! A quiet end to the week is a good thing. Poor whales! Happy Monday, enjoy your new week!

  12. Our vet clinic has two excellent - even fantastic - 50-something vets, and the new female vet, who is very poor at diagnosing, and who missed two deadly situations, resulting in the death of two of our cats. We refuse to see her now. It makes the staff mad, but we're a bit mad ourselves at hiring a poor vet when surely there are some good ones out there! I hope Ms. Yellow feels better soon.

SAVE THE WHALES! and Go Todd Go!

  13. I hope all goes well for Mrs Yellow . My cat did that for a bit and we found out it was all because she didn't like the food , so I changed it to a different brand and all has been good . Lovely photos . Hope the Vultures don't decide to deflate the whale they are planning to put up there Vultures can be very bad for vandalizing things . Thanks for sharing , have a good week !

  15. Glad things ended quietly for you. We have the same situation, a new vet that is very nice and I think has the potential to be very good as she learns, but I don't have a lot of confidence yet. We will see her if it is routine but prefer the more experienced when there is a problem

  16. It's frustrating when you feel the visit to the vet did not bring a solution. Hopefully your regular vet can shed a little more light on the trouble.

  17. You have to rename Mohawk. That's not the right hairdo for "Mohawk".

  19. Hope Ms. Yellow is better soon. Someone needs to send the mayor back to grade school so he can learn about air expanding when it's heated and contracting when it's cold.

  22. Kim...(off the subject as I don't see an email address). You have an open invitation if you ever get to this neck of the woods. It would be a pleasure to meet you.

  24. I do hope Ms Yellow will be OK. Young vets have to get experience of course but one usually prefers those with more years under their belt.
I imagine you often wish there are more days in your busy weeks. Pity we can't s t r e t c h time.

  25. I hope Ms. Yellow is doing well.
I understand all too well about vets and their experience.
I hope the other one had better answers and helped her onto her path of feeling better!

  27. The orca whale story is such a fiasco that I'd be surprised if a national news show doesn't pick it up!!!

I hope Ms. Yellow is on the mend. I love that photo of Sheba and Mohawk in the sun puddle. Sweet!

  28. Maybe the birds pecked him to death. Prepare for a town whale funeral. Appears the birds are not afraid.
