Two new toy balls ordered for Todd arrived a couple of days ago. They are the only ones he has never been able to destroy. The favorite and preferred color is red, but we don't get to pick when they're ordered online, and blue is what we got.
Whatever color they are, Todd was excited to have them to play with.
We had a long talk about throwing balls, specifically how to spot a fake throw. It's nearly impossible, at least for Todd to tell a fake throw from a real one.
This is only because the strategy really needs to be to follow the ball with your eyes.
Instead of the trust he has in his heart.
My hubby loves to tease our cats with fake ball throws. :-)
ReplyDeleteYou all have a blessed week, Kim!
Awwwww... how sweet! That happy little face says it all! :)
ReplyDeleteHe looks so happy, and with new toys, why not.
ReplyDeleteI used to enjoy the fake throws but none of mine fall for it anymore.
ReplyDeleteTodd is lucky to have found a toy he loves to play with even if his human tries to trick him once in a while. BOL!
ReplyDeleteSweet boy! Nice to see him having fun!

AWE sweet Todd . Our Miggs cant tell a fake through from a real one either I think that is the terrier in them , they get so excited about it all and dash out looking for it with glee even before you through it as though they are waiting for it to drop out of the sky lol ! Numpty's they are at times lol ! Lovely photos . Thanks for sharing , have a good weekend !
ReplyDeleteThat's quite a big ball for such a little chap !
ReplyDeleteMy very first Labrador, Sultan, had the most wonderful eye for a ball, and was never fooled by a fake throw. It was amazing to watch him catch a tennis ball after I'd pretended to throw it one way, then let it go in the opposite direction. Some sixth sense must have told him which way it would go, but he never missed !
Hello,
ReplyDeleteLOL, we have had a few fake throws. Fetching the ball is almost as fun as throwing sticks. Cute photos of Todd. Enjoy your weekend!
Adorable Todd. what would Golden Pines be without its resident protector and grounds keeper?
ReplyDeletein this heat the blue looks cooler than the red anyway! XO
The life expectancy of a regulation soccer ball was less than an hour with Kyla the Scottie around.
ReplyDeleteTodd's antics always cheer me up and make my day.
ReplyDeleteCooper doesn't fall for that one. He just sits and barks at us! Neat that Todd is enjoying the game with his new ball.
ReplyDeleteSweet post . . .
ReplyDelete(Fake throws are real teasers!)
Indestructible ? Really ?
ReplyDeleteWhat ever makes Todd happy,, is what important!

Sure can tell that Todd loves his ball! Juliet is like that too!
ReplyDeleteMy son and his friend did a fake throw to the friend's Lab. The dog ran into the woods and did not emerge for fifteen minutes. But when he came out he had a very old and weathered tennis ball he had found.
ReplyDeleteDear Todd,
ReplyDeleteWhat a pawesome Ball! Lucky you! I do not think the humans should ever fake throws, however. We Dogs are straightforward and honest, always. As you say, faking throws is not part of the trust that's in our heart!
Enjoy your Ball!

Faith Says: That's a big ball for a small dog. Can I have one too, my mouth must be bigger than his?
ReplyDeleteGlad he loves the blue ball. Maybe next time they will send him his favorite red ball. Just remember Todd. Keep your eye on the ball. You look so sweet in all of the photos. Thank you for sharing this wonderful guy with us today. Have a great day and have fun.

That looks like a very fun new toy :) Milo,Jet & Arli
ReplyDeleteHa ha! Cute Todd is happy to have a new ball.
ReplyDeleteRegarding your post about the Amish puppy mills...I wish everybody knew about them. Thought of as livestock or not, dogs and all animals for that matter deserve to be raised in a humane environment. I am not a f a n of the Amish because they are the biggest puppy mill owners there are. I'm glad poor Chopper is out of that he'll and know it will take time for him to adjust to living outside of all he's known. There are so many that don't get rescued so he is a lucky boy. Thank you for helping him.
