Here at Golden Pines, we needed some help...We lost our internet connection on Thursday evening, and Carl spent hours (and I do mean hours) on the phone trying to get it repaired. He and someone from 'Verizon' were finally able to get it working this morning. I will admit that I'm a bit of an 'internet junkie' and thankfully there was enough to keep me busy and my mind off not being able to get my 'internet fix.' I look forward to catching up on your news and will post an update on Hamlet later today.
I hope your weekend is off to a good start!
that is one heckuva turtle fella or lady!
ReplyDelete(hi hamlet! hoping news is okay!)
What a magnificent turtle!!!!
ReplyDeleteHamlet looks fine in his t-shirt!
glad you are back up. My Vickie is like you and if she doesn't have her internet fix, she gets real jumpy.
ReplyDeleteI hope the turtle is ok and I am anxiously waiting to hear about my buddy Hamlet.
Bert
Good to have you back Kim! Blogger has been a right ****** again, so you might not have missed much! Looks like people are still having trouble posting comments on some blogs, and also having difficulty writing posts.
ReplyDeleteI see the gorgeous Hamlet is looking very casual today! Unlike the snapping turtle, who looks like he should be wearing a uniform and issuing orders!
Have a great weekend.

Let's hope that we look that good at his age!!...:)JP
ReplyDeleteOh my stars ~ that turtle looks very senior ~ and heavy!!!
ReplyDeleteI helped a little bird yesterday too. I little helping hand is all it takes.
Hope you have a terrific weekend Kim!

Hi Kim,
ReplyDeleteIt feels os good to be able to come over after so long. Thanks for coming by to visit us earlier.
Am sorry Hamlet isn't feeling very well. His sweet face is so heartrending and I do wish he will be pain free at least. How is he this morning?
The turtles sure like your neighbourhood, don't they?...:)
A PUP! OMG!
this is wonderful news.
Yes, u are so right. a pup does brighten up life. When Shadow came along, Ginger and Buddy seemed to find his antics ridiculous and at times too troublesome because he would insist on playing when they wanted to sleep! He still does that but these two have learned to somehow ignore him and play only when they choose to!!And he seems to understand:)
And yes, Gin n Bud seems to be more active ever since Shadow came home.
Can't wait to hear some really exciting stories...:)
It's been a bad couple weeks for turtles around here. Rob returned from a trip and said he saw dozens of them dead on the roads. He stopped to help several, but most were already hit.
ReplyDeleteGive Hamlet our love. When does Todd join the pack?
Sue
That is one awesome turtle! Imagine what he's seen and where he's been. :)
ReplyDeleteHope the news is good for Hamlet.
Whenever we have computer problems my husband is good to call for support and he spends hours also with the tech trying to figure out how to get it working again. I refuse to talk to them because I feel so "dumb" but my husband doesn't care. He comes in handy at times.
ReplyDeleteI am glad everything works again....happy weekend.....love Ria...xxx...
ReplyDeleteHow big was the turtle? (size) Did you help it across the road? Don't know if I would dare pick up one of those big snappers!
ReplyDeleteYou have Verizon internet? Like on a budget as to how much you can use or unlimited? Tell me about it..... I mean really - email me please with particulars.
Hamlet looks happy, give him a hug from me.
I go mad without the internet too. I'm looking forward to hearing about Hamlet, I hope he is still doing okay!
ReplyDeleteHi Kim, I totally understand how frustrating it can be without internet or a computer. I'm totally hooked on this.
ReplyDeleteBeen thinking about you lots.
Have a wonderful weekend my friend.
Noreen
Wow he is a big fella! I rescued one big old guy last summer who was trying to cross the road and let me tell you they are strong!!! He kept jerking sideways making me have to put him down and stand there waving traffic around us! Thank goodness a local college kid was driving by and had leather gloves and was strong enough to lift him enough to make the crossing in one trip.
ReplyDeleteI do hope sweet Hamlet is doing ok and I will watch for your update!
Have a wonderful weekend Kim!
Tina xo

I'm a junkie too but our internet goes down at least 3 times a week. The only solution is wait, wait, and wait some more until the stars align so that it can work again.
ReplyDeleteLove the turtle photo! And, I hope that Hamlet is doing well. He has a nice smile in his photo.
I was unable to comment on your exciting news about a puppy. Woo hoo!!!!!!!!!

ReplyDeleteHamlet is once again looking happy ... and grateful . Love , attention and no worries . Aeat time in the Princes life .
ReplyDeleteYour turtle reminds me of when I was pregnet with my son & we had to stop in the dark on a road because of a snapping turtle. The dh got out & I was frightened as the turtle was coming after him.He took a tree limb & the turtle snapped it,then he was able to get him off the road. What we won`t do for our wildlife.
ReplyDeleteI`m so happy you are getting a puppy! There`s nothing like having a "child"around, what fun you are going to have!
Hamlet looks happy,he doesn`t seem to have any pain.I hope you & your family have a blessed weekend, phyllis
Woof! Woof! 2nd HUGE turtle I saw this week. Olive bloggie friend from Texas got a turtle backyard friend too. Due to bad winter weather, our internet cable (outside) was broken recently too. It was replaced immediately. Woof! Woof! to Hamlet. Lots of Golden Woofs, Sugar
ReplyDeleteThanks for sitting on the porch for a spell. Love the dogs. Hope Hamlet ends up ok. Poor guy. Love the giant snapper. I saw plenty of those growing up on the Missouri River. I would find turtles wandering around on the prairie and would pick them up and give them a lift to the river. I am amazed how they always knew what direction the water was. Like your blog. Thanks for sharing.
